Update December, 2025: a regular cheesesteak (WITH AMERICAN CHEESE ONLY) now costs $9.15 plus tax if paid in cash. WHIZ cheese costs $1 one dollar extra! Lol.
Although they asked if I wanted to eat it there, to which I said “yes,” they still charged me an .18 cent “BAG” charge as if I was taking it to go. (See photo)
Older review 2024: Phenomenal Italian cheesesteak hoagie with provolone, mushroom, pepper and onion. Friendly service. This place has most definitely earned a few repeat visits in my future. Thank you!

I order from here occasionally and honestly I’m not sure why I go back. For delivery they consistently forget an item – the last order they forgot one of the two drinks and the drink they didn’t forget had grey/brown chunks in it (it was a sprite). This also brings up cleanliness concerns and quality concerns if they’re letting a clear drink be delivered with what I can only assume is mold.

Hilltop has been a GO TO establishment for the South Baltimore crowd. They used to be open until 2-3am, those were the days lol. Great food, friendly employees (besides the delivery driver) the gyros are always a hit, definitely recommended

My wife and I tried it a month ago and it is now a weekly visit for us. The lunch specials are great blend of value, portion size, and taste. I personally get the chicken parm sub and it’s delicious.

My fiancé and I absolutely love this place! We go once a week to get their lunch special. It’s a great deal, a great sandwich, very generous amount of fries, and we love seeing the same friendly faces behind the counter every week. I would recommend Hilltop to anyone in the Baltimore area who’s looking for good food at an even better price 🙂

I have ordered several times from Hilltop carry out and normally their food is delicious. However, after yesterday’s experience, I will not order from them again. I ordered a cheeseburger sub and onion rings. I asked the restaurant for ranch sauce for my onion rings. They charged me an extra 1.10 for the ranch and I never received it with my delivery. The cheeseburger sub was less than desirable. It looked as though they took a frozen burger patty, cooked it and threw it on the sub. The sub was over all poorly put together, mayo all over the bread, roll wasn’t toasted and the sub wasn’t even cut. The onion rings were overcooked and super greasy, giving me heartburn for the remainder of the day. Like I said in the past the food has been good, yesterday it was horrible. I don’t know if they have a new cook, it was a bad day or their customer service just didn’t care. Regardless, I wont be wasting my money again.

Beware– we ordered from this location over the phone from the first website on google. My total was not repeated back to me and there was no receipt given when food was picked up. The Total was $15 more than what we were expecting. Not a big deal but we wanted some clarification. Store said they don’t even own that website anymore and that menu is old. Unfortunately, they were unwilling to work with us and asked us to bring back the food for a full refund. They were also unable to refund my original form of payment (paid with card, refund in cash). We didn’t get to try and of the food but it did not look worth the price. FYI, don’t go to the first website listed on google (makes total sense). We will not be ordering here again.

This place is rather small and not the most modern. However the pizza and wings are great. The service is usually good and the wait time for orders vary. If possible call ahead. There are a few seats to dine in but not many. Parking is a bit tricky but not impossible.
