Cute spot! Definitely out here in the middle of nowhere lol. The inside is super cute. There’s a small restaurant where you can sit and eat and then the other half is a small shopping area with local goods! ️
I got the buffalo wrap. It was pretty good. There were lots of specialty coffee options but I just got their black coffee and it was super smooth. Very delicious. ☕️The menu has a lot of options on here all the way from breakfast to ice cream!
We sat in here for a while. Super unique place, each chair at the table was also different, which was neat.
There’s also seating outside!

Such a hidden gem! High quality, such good flavors. Nice seasonal cocktails. The staff was super nice!
So surprising the type of food they offer. I had a waygu steak salad & my husband had the Reuben. I also chose a side of sweet potato fries…the best sweet potato fries I have ever had. The salad was a perfect combination of flavors and the steak in it…no words. I tasted my husband’s Reuben, so good! I am from Chicago so I am very picky about my Reuben’s. Go there!!

Glad this place is doing well. Fun, eclectic rustic, but such a crowded hot interior. Would do much better with more seats and less hokey clutter. Baker was amazing and fun to observe her efficient skill preparing cinnamon rolls. Hard to know what to do upon arrival, curtly told to look at menu, order at register, provided playing card for table to identify our order, and find own seating. Table top and condiments sticky. Burger took 20 minutes to cook. Rare (bloody) but good burger. You can tell the beef is wonderful and fresh. Love the local source! Might go again for baked goods. Not great customer service, absolutely no eye contact. I knew Gary and Linda well for years. think they would be happy but hope they improve, much promise to this quaint special little market.

I ordered the chicken salad sandwich, which was very good—fresh and flavorful. Personally, I think it would be even better with a bit of lettuce added for extra crunch and freshness.
I also got the extra sweet potato fries (basket size), but the portion was surprisingly small. If you’re thinking of sharing, you might want to order more than one—it’s not quite enough for more than two.
Overall, Hillcreek Market offers a cozy and enjoyable dining experience with quality food, but a few small tweaks—like clearer pricing and slightly more generous portions—could make it even better.

We live in nearby Lawrence and love making a short trip to Hillcreek Market on weekend mornings or Taco Tuesdays! The atmosphere is welcoming and fun, there’s always something fun to discover in the antique store. The food is high quality and made local and with care. Sometimes it’s hard to find seating especially on a busy morning, but it’s pleasant to sit outside on the patio when the weather is nice. This is a Kansas gem.

Went to this little hidden gem with some friends. The food is fresh and tasty. I had the mac n cheese with bacon…. Yum!! (Thick cut bacon). My husband had the Reuben.. approved!! Our friends had the hamburger and said it was delicious and juicy. You walk in the front door, the menu and counter to order your food, drink, etc is just to the left. After ordering they bring your food to the table. Seating is limited so you can sit inside or outside. Inside there is a small shopping area that sells alot of local goods from food products, like cheese to soap and essential oils. Oh yes and for any Yellowstone fans they sell Four Sixes sauce, rubs and more. I took home some homemade goods, French Silk Pie and a Peanut Butter Rice Crispy treat….. The French silk Pie outta this world. Oh and I forgot our food pics because we were so excited about this place

The food was a bit pricy, but very good and some unique options. I got the goddess wrap which included some excellent wagyu beef. The only disappointment was the fries. We ordered an $11 basket of sweet potato fries, and I expected a full basket, but what you see in the pic was the entire “basket” of fries.

I try to eat here every time I visit Lawrence. The Reuben is my favorite, so so good! But honestly, I’ve started trying something new each time and have never been disappointed yet.
Tonight I called ahead for a carry out order. Everything was ready to go when I got there. I tried their chili and it was excellent! Dessert is always a must, the lemon bar cheesecake is perfect.
I’m so glad I’ll be living near by soon. The staff is always friendly and sometimes the place is crowded but it’s always been worth the wait. I love the atmosphere, especially when they’ve had a live music. It’s really a great little place!

We recently dined at Hillcreek Market and were thoroughly impressed by both the amazing food, coffee, and cozy atmosphere. The menu showcased a variety of innovative dishes, blending bold flavors and beautiful presentation. The staff was incredibly friendly and ensured that our meal was a memorable one, providing excellent service and ensuring our satisfaction. The shop has tons of variety and is such a vibe!
