I came to Hill Street Cafe with my husband, son, mom, and grandma for the first time. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding! We will definitely be back for another family brunch. Five stars!

I’ve been coming to Hill Street often and I’ve noticed a decline in food quality. I ordered gravy and biscuits today with potatoes. The biscuit was at least a day or 2 old, dry and tough and the potatoes were about 1/2 cup and spread out on the plate to look voluminous. For $21…definitely not worth it. Service was great but the quality of food has decreased and prices increased. I was still hungry after my meal and had to order ANOTHER entree to fill me up. My breakfast was slightly over $50! FOR BREAKFAST!!! Do better Hill St. or you will lose repeat customers! I hope the manager reads this sincere review!

March 2025: The food is always good here but I think it keeps getting better each time we come back. The menu has so many great items. When I’m no longer pregnant and on a restricted diet, I plan on trying more things! I got the veggie omelette and was very happy with it, while my husband got the crepe flight, fresh orange juice, and eggs, bacon, and potatoes. We also tried the cinnamon roll which would have been too sweet for me anyway but was still really good and looked amazing when it first came out.
Service was surprisingly quick and everyone who works in there is very friendly. I also like the updated decor and interior as the owners have changed. We still have a great all day diner but with food for everyone!
3 years ago: Diner food but it’s good and has good sized portions. This is a good place for older people to visit. It’s old style traditional food.

Hill Street Cafe used to be a charming well decorated and tasteful restaurant. The food ,while I cannot pretend to know whether it was frozen or not, if it was they did a better job hiding it than they do now. I got the chicken fried steak it tasted of old fry oil. The gravy was almost translucent and resembled something that I don’t wish to mention in this review. The pancakes had the delightful aftertaste of pennies and both the butter and the syrup were synthetic. The eggs are fine. The hash browns were soggy and tasteless. I’d say the best part was the glass of water they gave me. I am sad to see what Hill Street has become
