Stopped in to get a coffee and bag of donuts. Coffee had been sitting awhile so had a burnt taste to it and I had bitten unto a donut just to realize they were moldy on the bottom. Took them back to replace and the whole rack was molded. They really need to rotate and pay attention to their stock.

Ok gas station with some good fried chicken. Mine was a little salty and dry but it was late and had been out a while. Still hit the spot though. Prices on gas and food are reasonable. Little tricky to get in and out of. Bathrooms were adequate for our visit. I will say could be better lit at night didn’t get a terrible vibe but would not be fully comfortable visiting late night alone.

It is no longer Hill of Beans. Changed names. Cashier/food order person not very friendly. At 3:00 they were almost out of food and what was left had been there for awhile. They only had one breast and three thighs left, not enough for eight piece meal. Food was drying out and had probably been there since lunch. They have homemade rolls but you have to ask for them, as they don’t ask. I probably will not stop there again.

Putting the food in containers, then into plastic bags is awful. There’s no way to not get home with a mess. I tried to adjust it and was unfixable.
The nachos were a blob in one side of the container when opened. The pulled pork sandwich was bland. I couldn’t understand the lady at the window as the shaved ice generator was right there. A two star is generous. You can buy better in the meat department at Sam’s and the beans came out of a can.

The bbq pork and Mac and cheese are my favorites. My husband loves the fried fish. I wish they had a dine in restaurant, but I’ll settle for the carryout from the gas station lol! Better get there early though because all the hungry, hard working locals will buy them out at lunchtime.
