One of the best tonkotsu ramen broths I’ve had in a long time in BR. It’s was creamy, savory and salty. I wish the pork chashu was thicker but very good flavor; melts in your mouth. Buta Bun was so good but again, wish there was double the meat. I love the spicy mayo sweet sauce that was used with the fresh greens. The steam bun was very nice.
I can’t wait to come back and try more of their rice dishes especially. The steamed white rice quality is so good and fluffy. The pork chashu bowl was good but had too much of this sweet glaze sauce. Next time I would ask for less of it.
Pork Gyoza had a great crispy texture but wish I had chili oil. The dipping sauce was on the sweeter side so didn’t care for it much.
Staff was very nice and helpful. The restaurant is beautifully decorated too.

First time eating at a Ramen restaurant. My sister found this place and I was glad she found this little gem. The place was sparkling clean with a relaxing and beautiful setting. The staff was helpful and genuinely happy to help us. I had we each got an appetizer, a Ramen and a dessert with tea for drinks. The tempera shrimp and crabstick were both fried to perfection and came with a delicious sauce that had little seeds in it. Not sure what it was but I loved it. My ramen the Tonkostsu Black tasted amazing and fresh and was full of flavor. I savored every last drop of the creamy broth and enjoyed all of the noodles and fresh mushrooms that came in it. for desert I had the Japanese ice cream sandwich with strawberry ice cream. It was refreshing and delicious way to end my savory meal. The black tea I had was unsweetened and it was so well made I did not feel the need to ask for any sweetener. My sister enjoyed her meal as well and we will be returning here in the future. I already have my eye on there Katsu entree. The only slight negatives is getting headlights from parked cars shining at your table from time to time. I would recommend putting shades up or even frosting the bottom half of windows to block the lights. Either way, it was a wonderful experience.

Hikari Ramen was a great find, especially on Christmas when very few restaurants were open. The staff were welcoming and friendly, which made the experience even better. I tried the vegan ramen and really enjoyed it—it was flavorful and comforting. Definitely appreciate places like this that stay open during the holidays and still deliver good food and service. Would happily come back!

Visited this ramen place and overall had a decent experience. The vegan ramen was good and is the only option available for people who don’t eat meat. The chicken ramen was decent as well. The rice burger, however, wasn’t that great and didn’t really stand out.
The ambience is clean and nicely done with a cherry blossom theme, which gives the place a pleasant vibe. Overall, a good spot for ramen, especially if you’re looking for a vegan option.

Respectfully, this establishment needs a lot of work!! It’s not worth the trip or the money. The service was mediocre, our waitress was slouching and speaking very monotone with baggy clothes on. Ig this restaurant doesn’t uphold a dress code for their staff. However, We ordered creamy shrimp tempura and crab stick tempura. It wasn’t great, the shrimp was not creamy at all it had a light drizzle of sauce on top and was fried very hard. The crab sticks was also fried very hard, to the point of being unenjoyable.
We still ordered our entrees, we ordered the unagi don, and tonkatsu red ramen. The ramen was absolutely delicious but was missing certain toppings. The unagi don, had small bones it, which took me by surprise and when I took it out my mouth, it looked like something that came out of the drain. We asked for confirmation from the waiter that it was just bones. He said, “I’m sorry about that”. And took the plate away , I no longer wanted it anymore and switched my order to the ramen as well.
Overall this was my first ramen place, I heard bad reviews of this place. But was still willing to give them a try. I won’t be going back anytime soon, i would rather try my luck at other ramen spots.

Great place to get Ramen and Japanese food in Baton Rouge! The place is very clean and cute, we got the shrimp tempura udon and the black tonkatsu Ramen. Both have lots of flavor, I added the chili sauce to mine and tasted great! The only thing that was lackluster in my opinion was the pork. Overall, I’d come back.

This ramen spot is absolutely amazing!! 10/10 would recommend. The customer service was fantastic and the ramen was delicious! I tend to be a picky person with ramen but Hikari Ramen is spot on with the deliciousness. First time here and we are planning to come back more often. Highly recommend!

My wife and I came in for dinner kinda late, 8:15ish on a Tuesday and really enjoyed our meal and service. The restaurant is clean, cure and comfortable, I dig the wood and the flowers. We each got a pork belly bun, which was excellent – fresh greens, cucumber and bun and well seasoned meat and mayo. I got the tonkotsu curry ramen and she got the shrimp tempura ramen. Both were very good, nicely seasoned and spiced and good sized portions. Service was attentive and friendly without being over bearing. Food came out quick and prices are reasonable. What’s not to like? Found my new preferred ramen spot in BR.

Beautiful establishment!! I would post the ramen but I was so good it’s gone LOL! The service was great, my glass was never empty, and neither was my stomach haha. I recommend for sure. I like to think of myself as a ramen person and this definitely satisfied my cravings.
