This is by far the best food I have had in a while. Absolutely the best bbq. Everything was cooked to complete perfection. We started with the hillbilly fries for a appetizer completely mouthwatering. Unfortunately they was out of white gravy for the country fried steak but I got the razorback burger with a baked potatoe and omg it was incredible. Amazing service and food. My boyfriend got the hamburger steak and it was amazing as well. We will definitely be returning.

Burgers are great! I got a Don Burger with house made bacon jam and a fried green tomato slice. Hubs got the Chili Cheeese (yes it has all those ‘e’s. Both were excellent!

If you haven’t been to this place you need to go. Lots of food for the money. There carnivore omelet is way more food than you need but man it is good. Great friendly staff and great service. Out of the way for most but believe me it’s worth the drive. We have had dinner here too and the country fried steak is awesome. Please check them out and they are locally owned. Support these small businesses to keep them around.

My youngest Grandson and my car show side kick won a meal for 2 at the 217 as a door prize at a recent car show. Well, we finally made it yesterday to redeem his voucher with myself and his Nanny in tow. This was our first time here. When we parked, he remarked that something smelled really good. Inside, we were met by a really sweet waitress, were seated, and received our drinks. My wife and I had the special the day, Eli had grilled catfish, fries, and mac and cheese. Very hospitable atmosphere. Food was received, and you can believe it was on point. The liver and onions were over the top. My wife’s beef tips were right there, too. Now Eli is a very harsh food critic at 9 years old, and he did nothing but rave about the grilled catfish. All in all, it was good old Southern comfort food at its best. Kudos to the 217 Cafe and Grill for supporting the car shows. Please continue. If you are on Lott Road at McCreary, check these folks out. It’s worth the stop.

Must try Philly cheese steak. Absolutely stuffed after eating here. It was so good that once you start, you can’t stop.

We first got there it was nice to get in our of the heat outside, we took a table on the corner, the young lady took out orders and turned it in. We waited maybe 10 minutes and it was brought our to us. We ordered catfish, hush puppies, cole slaw, potato wedges, and sweet ice tea. But we could not eat then hush puppies it has jalopenia pepper in it but we did not know it until we are 1 my stomach or my sons stomach could take it we both have issues with our stomach, they coleslaw was great, then catfish was okay but have had better, loved the sweet tea, but to me I feel like I wasted my money eating there will not be going back. Sorry for the bad review but got too tell the truth on my behalf. U f someone likes spicy food it would be a good place to go

Great food and a old school down home eating experience that has been lost from so many places. The grilled pork chop special was thick, juicy and done all the way through and the flavor was the best I’ve had in a very long time. The cheese bombs were great as was the fried okra, the fried squash and the mustard greens. Go try this place!!!
