My son and I have a fun time looking for the best burger. We love reviewing the places here and grading between us!
Today brought us south to Centralia, so coming home we drove off the beaten path to try this place. What a treat. The Hwy 12 has taken the #1 spot in our journey. #2 being Buns Of Glory in Lacey and #3 being Eastside Big Tom’s in Olympia.
Service and quality came together here for sure. Stefanie was our waitress and Rachel and Kim prepared our order. All with love!!!
In talking to Stefanie, we learned the meat was never frozen and from a local farm. THIS is what I feel made the burger. I want to say the bacon is as well because it was delicious. These “Sidewinders” as a side were amazing too. Like curled JoJo’s is the best I can describe it. Four of their sauces are made in house. The ranch, tarter, fry and Hwy 12 sauce. ALL were hits. Seriously.
They also are not lying about the good milkshakes. Try the Red Velvet Oreo!
Money is tight for a lot of us and when you can find the quality AND the customer service all in one, you can’t go wrong. These girls made our day all around.

We were heading home from the great wolf lodge and after a day of mundane, bland, over expensive food we searched the area for something that looked good and found the Highway 12 Drive-Inn and boy am I glad we did.
The service was great.
The food came out super quick, hot, and delicious.
My picky 8 year old even loved it.
We got burgers and chicken strips, with mozzarella sticks and Mac and cheese bites as an appetizer.
The prices are excellent for the portions you get and the fact 6pc mozzarella sticks were only $4.99..
I love finding these small town restaurants. Do not pass by this place. You won’t regret eating here.

Came by with my grandma because she told me their clam chowder was amazing- and they didn’t disappoint! For $3 you can get the most delicious clam chowder I’ve had so far, and I order clam chowder any time I see it anywhere around here. Absolutely amazing, if you’re a clam chowder lover come here and get your fix. ONLY $3.15 LIKE ??? THATS AMAZING. ($4.59 for a full bowl.)

This is a definite dive. The waitress struggled to take our order and got it more than half wrong. We ordered extra sides and she completely forgot those. The food was meh, and not worth it. The service is the biggest disappointment. The waitress gave a lot of attitude when we sent our food back (it had cheese when we ordered no cheese) and was very audibly vocal in the kitchen. It took 45 minutes to get our, ‘drive in,’ food. Do not go here.

Burger bun was not fresh.
Going off the menu and selecting a double cheese bacon burger we were charged for a double cheese burger plus almost 4 dollars for 2-3 pieces of bacon. When adding a single beef patter was 1 dollar difference, hmm go figure. Sounds robberish to me. $25 dollar bill for a single meal. Outrageous. Won’t be back.
Couple employees were on break when we arrived and stayed on break during our visit and all was on break when we needed to pay to leave, waited 7 more minutes to be able to pay to leave.

This place is a gem! Food is always hot, delicious and made fresh! Love the burgers! The meat has amazing flavor, the cheese is always spot on, the veggies are fresh and delicious and the house sauce just brings it all together with the butter toasted buns.
The Sidewinder Jo’s are consistently crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and never super greasy. The prices are fair and the staff inside are always polite and service is great.
I recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a great burger in a tiny town. Five Stars for sure!

I love little diner’s! This one did not disappoint! My hubby and I both had a hamburger. Delicious! And the fries? So yummy! Ask for the fry sauce. Our server was always making sure we had what we needed. Definitely will return.
