Hightopps Backstage Grille

I ordered the fish tacos, my husband ordered the chicken tacos and they were both delish! The house salad was probably one of the best house salads I’ve had anywhere. The vibe was perfect. The kids had fun at the playground. My daughter got the chicken strips and french fries which she enjoyed as well as a scoop of ice cream before heading home. We would definitely come here again! It was a holiday weekend and we did not have to wait to be seated and we had quick service.

Me and my baby came here after a long day. It was crowded but we didn’t have to wait long to be seated. The drinks were pretty good and the food was spot on as well. I tried the crab dip and surprisingly it was more than enough for two people. The cheese was melted just right and it had a very traditional old bay taste to it. She had the chicken bacon wrap and that was good as well. The server was a little slow coming back to our table to check on us to see if we needed anything. Overall this was my first time here and we definitely look forward to returning.

Sigh to be honest i wasn’t a huge fan of the food. However the place is too cool i would have to just keep trying menu items until i found something to my liking because it’s such a cool spot. I love the tiki bar, beach bar decor and vibes. If i had to choose between everything i tried i would say the friend pickles and shrimp were pretty tasty.

Overall this place was pretty good. We went in a little after they opened and it was an empty restaurant which was nice. We got wings, fried pickles, and tater tots to start, all of which we’re really good. The mac & cheese was severely lacking in flavor and texture. The santa fe wrap was okay, it could’ve used a lot less or even no bbq sauce and a little more ranch. All of the dipping sauces were really good. The old bay chips were wayyyyy too old bay for us non marylanders.

Had our company Christmas party on Dec 19th . We had a private room that was beautifully decorated. Buffet style food. The meatballs were some of the best I ever had. Mashed potatoes were awesome, chicken Alfredo was great, mixed vegs were seasoned great. Deserts were awesome. And our waitress was amazing.

Tried this place for the first time today and we are absolutely in love! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was fun and inviting. Our waitress Allison was incredibly sweet, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Give that girl a raise!

The food? Absolutely fantastic! We started with the Santa Fe fries, and they were perfectly crispy, flavorful, and loaded with just the right amount of toppings. But the real star of the meal? The honey Old Bay wings. These were hands down the best wings I’ve ever had—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated in the perfect blend of sweet honey and bold Old Bay seasoning. Every bite was packed with flavor!

We’ll definitely be coming back to explore more of the menu. If you’re looking for great food, a fun atmosphere, and excellent service, HighTopps Backstage Grille is a must-visit!

Stopped here for lunch with my husband and 2 daughters. Great atmosphere, good food, and decent service. My husband had the Salmon Club Wrap which was delicious, my daughters had the caser salad and the Shoemaker salad, which were good also. I had the Buffalo chicken wrap, which was okay, but a little too heavy with the Buffalo sauce. I enjoy spicy but not overpowering. That is my preference and not necessarily a reflection of bad food. I would visit again and try something else.

Great atmosphere, laid back, plenty of outdoor seating, food was delicious. Don’t like their menu online – not really friendly. Server was good but we asked for chips and salsa for an appetizer and it came out at at the same time. No apology or recognition that this was in error. Got the fish and chips and although the fish was good with the sauce that was on the plate, I would rather not have the plate be pooled with the sauce and just serve it on the side.

Food portions are ridiculously big. Too much, even the half portions. Reuben egg rolls were all egg rolls dough. Nothing special about the nachos. Santa Fe tots were good, but again half portions was enough for 6, we were 2! Espresso Martini and Jack & Coke were brought to us in plastic cups. Server was very bubbly and sweet but when we needed the check she was gone and we had to wait. Last pic is what we left on the table, we could not eat anymore.

First time coming to this place and it was a cool spot. I could only imagine what it’s like in summer time as it was heavily set up for outdoor entertainig. A larger group of us hung out at the bar. Even though our bartender Zack is an Eagles fan…he was still cool and super attentive. Wings were good too. If I’m back in the area I’ll be back.
