Awesome! In town for work and this small town doesn’t have a lot and I was tired of the gas station pizza! Got the monaray hero and it was fantastic perfect size bread was soft and they have real hots and the pickles was very good. Also go the mozzarella moons great cheese pull and the pink dip was awesome not sure what it is lol staff was friendly and helpful inside was very nice also over all a 10/10 keep it up! Side note good price!

This is a combination visitor Center and restaurant. The food is pretty good and the service is great. It has a lot of information about the local area and things to do nearby. There are not a lot of other places to eat around here and get gas as well so this little town is a good place to stop.

Adorable little gift shop and comfy dining room with big booths. Menu has a solid selection of pizzas, salads, and sandwiches. Personally, I appreciated the cauliflower crust pizza available for gluten sensitive folks. Lots of great toppings available as well. Great stop on a road trip from Snowshoe back to D.C.

The Highlander is EXCELLENT! I had the Monterey Hero. This sandwich reminded me of my favorite sub shop in Nashville. The ingredients were top notch and the hot pepper relish was the perfect amount! Their coleslaw actually is the real deal. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

Our first trip here. We have family in the area and hope to live in Monterey one day ourselves. The Highlander is very clean and has a pleasant atmosphere. I tried the seasonal fare pictured (Brisket Chili, Slaw, and Cornbread). Very delicious! My husband had the ham and cheese sub, which he gave a thumbs up. I also had the unsweet tea was very good to my taste. We’re so glad Monterey has this new place – our best wishes to the owner.

Excellent little diner and shop. I had their Italian sub with fries. The fries were a perfect golden crispy, and the Italian sub was easily one of the best I’ve had. I regret not ordering dessert because it looks like they had homemade ice cream. The wonderful ladies that worked there were attentive and nice. I would visit this place again!

Husband and I were traveling through from Maryland and decided to give it a try. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The fried chicken was chef’s kiss!! It was a very nice and clean restaurant with a cute little gift shop too. I now wish we saved room for the icecream!!!

This is a nice local place with good food and friendly service. The wings were tasty, and the tots with Mac and cheese and brisket chili was excellent. I’ll definitely be back, and I appreciated how clean the restaurant was.

This is such a cute little place. The pizza is fantastic. Seriously some of the best that I’ve had. The cheese tastes better than anything I’ve had before. I don’t know if it’s farm fresh or what but it’s so good. The smoked brisket chili was also fantastic. The smokey flavor of the brisket is so well incorporated into the chili. The staff was also really friendly and patient. We stopped in for what we thought would be a quick grab and go and decided to eat there after we’d already placed our order. They were very accommodating and nice. Great little place, and if we’re driving through again we will definitely make a stop here!
