Highland Park Diner is small, so you may have to wait for a seat, but it’s definitely worth it.

I love the classic diner feel and the welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive.

I went with a classic breakfast (eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, and hash browns), and the portions were generous and everything was tasty.

I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town. ☕️

Classic and the food is delish! Huge menu and big portions. Exactly what you would expect. Hazelnut or Jamaican coffee was were nice choices, we had Hazelnut which was smooth and creamy. The 1/2 waffle meal was perfect for me. He got the skillet, loaded with his breakfast faves.

Food was amazing! Cooked exactly how we asked and super hot. Pancakes were HUGE, sausage was delicious, corned beef hash was homemade, home fries were cooked crispy on the bottom like we asked, steak cooked just how my mom likes, and hazelnut coffee was so yummy! Summer was a wonderful waitress as well

This diner has great friendly service and plenty of options on the menu. The gyro breakfast sandwich was tasty, was warm fresh pita bread, egg, gyro meat, and feta cheese which helped the flavor and texture a lot. It also came with “tzatziki sauce” on the side which really tasted like plain sour cream but was a good add-on. Would love to try a version of this breakfast with more spices salt etc added in and maybe a zestier sauce.

We came at 8:30am on a Saturday and the booths were full but we got stools at the bar.

Food was phenomenal. Had homemade salsa and it was the best hands down. Atmosphere was cozy and definitely felt like I took a trip to the past. Service was spot on.

This place reminds of old school diners I frequented in my youth. Whether it was after school or after all night parties, the food was always satisfying and plentiful. These days, 2026, the prices are avg and the portions are plentiful. Home fries, correctly crisp. My Western omelette, perfect! The French Toast, big and hearty. This place is known for their milkshakes, but I didn’t partake but plenty of others did. The service was right on point. The coffee was good. The place lives to it’s reviews. It’s good.

Went for brunch today to this very classical diner. The servers are very friendly and approachable. Summer, our server, was great.
The food was excellent. I world recommend the shakes and the western sandwich, but everything that we ordered was flavorful regardless.
The atmosphere was friendly and vibrant. I will return here for a meal when I visit Rochester next.

I had high hopes, but in the end, i was drastically disappointed. We went in as a group of 5 and only 1 of us had an enticing meal. The chocolate chip pancakes: dry and bland batter. The side for those pancakes were turkey sausages for $5.99… more like two mini pinky toe sausages… so not worth it, they were tasteless. The chicken and waffles: small, cheap chicken (they were chicken tenders) and one dry, bland waffle… for $16… what a joke. The highland skillet: the seasoning didn’t exist… salt and pepper doesn’t come to mind at this diner i guess, and the gravy was flavored so peculiar. The steak and egg sandwich: also unseasoned, but once it was drowned in ketchup it was edible. the breakfast burger: the only meal worth the price and was moderately seasoned. Overall the food was just underwhelming, but let’s get to the drinks… the milk was in a smaller cup and was priced at $3.99 and i didn’t even get a refill. the iced coffee, which was in a larger cup, was priced at $3… and the milk was barely cold. I was crying inside. I left still hungry and sad… I expected more. See pictures as proof.

Food was good and prepared quickly. Server did ok other than forgetting to bring the coffee my husband ordered and forgetting my hash browns until we reminded her. She was unfriendly, unpleasant and seemed annoyed to be waiting tables. Atmosphere was ok, nothing special.
