It was fairly busy when we arrived but only had to wait about one minute for a booth to be set up. They were very quick in seating us.

Dining companions ordered breadsticks with marinara and garlic dip (seemed to be a cream cheese spread with garlic flavor). They enjoyed. The salads and minestrone were both good- fresh tasting. Then the meals came and the portions were very large! I loved the orange roughy with an orange ginger sauce, companion one enjoyed the chicken and ribs meal, and companion two enjoyed the perch. The sweet potato casserole was a bit too sweet. Desserts were brought out- the carrot cake was moist and delicious, the pumpkin cheesecake was delicious, and the caramel sundae was perfect.

Service was great. Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable. She was able to help me order dairy free and was great about asking questions in the kitchen for me.

The restaurant is very clean and spacious. Bathrooms are very clean.

Great experience. Will go back!

Part of a small conglomerate of restaurants, Highland House serves up a blend of American and Italian dishes. One of the must haves on the menu are the bread sticks which are a staple between the restaurants. Service was great, parking is good and there is plenty on the menu to meet what you are in the mood for. This is a restaurant that I will be returning to when I’m in the area again.

We have been to this establishment numerous times. We have always had a great experience here. The food is consistent and well presented, the service is excellent. The restaurant is always clean.
The place was packed tonight but we were seated in 20 minutes for a party of 4.

I had the salmon and my wife had the lasagna. Our friends had the pizza. Everything was served at the same time. Everything was delicious. This restaurant has enjoyed a solid reputation for years. It is well-deserved.
I highly recommend.

Everything but my salad was excellent. I ordered a ceaser side salad with salmon for pick up and it was packaged with the salmon in the salad, which made the lettuce wilted underneath and steamed the rest. Not trying to be picky but I’m pretty sure that’s not food safe either, (cold stuff cold, hot stuff hot). It also seems like every time I get salmon here it tastes like the entree on the menu, I wish that there was some plain fresh salmon they could put on the grill. Other than that I’ve had pretty much everything and it’s all very good.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ FIVE-STAR REVIEW — The Highland House (Highland, MI)

The Highland House has been a staple in the Highland/White Lake community for generations, and for my family it’s been so much more than just a restaurant — it’s been part of our story since before I could even walk. Some of our most cherished memories were made within these walls.

Growing up, this was the place we gathered for everything: my grandparents’ birthdays, cousins’ graduation parties, confirmations, holy communions, baptisms — you name it. And while it was always our celebration spot, it was also our go-to on any regular weekday when we just wanted great food and that familiar, comforting atmosphere.

Before the renovation, the old building had a nostalgic charm that truly reflected the family culture behind this family-owned business. I’ll never forget my favorite waitress, Natalie, who always treated me like her long-lost daughter. She made me feel so special as a little girl — even bringing me small gifts — and those memories still mean the world to me.

Now, with the newly renovated restaurant, the Highland House feels just as warm and welcoming, plus the addition of the Highland House Carryout attached to the building makes grabbing your favorites even easier.

My personal favorite dishes are the Lasagna Dinner for Two, the Whitefish with mashed potatoes and carrots, and of course… the legendary bread & butter and their garlic cream cheese dip. You truly can’t experience the Highland House without those.

Last night we celebrated my brother’s 35th birthday, and I ordered a couple of minestrone soups, some bread and butter, and one Angry Orchard. Our server, Brooke, was absolutely amazing — warm, attentive, and so accommodating, even to people like me who show up fashionably late.

One thing I love about community restaurants like this is running into familiar faces. Seeing Rob, who used to be my manager at the White Lake Highland House Carryout (right in the heart of White Lake!), brought back so many memories. It’s moments like those that remind you why places like this matter.

If you’re looking for somewhere to host a large family gathering, the Highland House can comfortably take care of you. And if you ever need catering for a party at home, I highly recommend stocking up on lots of breadsticks — trust me on that one.

The Highland House is more than just a restaurant. It represents family, tradition, and priceless memories shared with the ones you love. I’ll forever recommend it. ❤️

Everything was wonderful from beginning to end. Food was hot, salads were fresh, and of course the bread sticks were the best! Never a disappointment! I did not get our servers name, but she was prompt and friendly!

My fiancée and I recently moved to the area and have been wanting to go here after we’ve heard awesome reviews from others in the area. All the reviews we heard were right. The food was phenomenal and staff/service even better. Wish the chicken marsala was on the menu full time! Breadsticks and garlic sauce are amazing as well. We will be back.

Our waitress was nice and helpful, except she neglects to mention the added costs. Make sure you ask what the additional fees will be for napkins, bread, spread, ketchup, mustard, salt and pepper. You will not be advised of these costs. Apparently, they are looking to maximize profits and hoping you don’t check your bill. Also, make sure you ask if you have latest menu with updated prices. Apparently, they are printing new ones with new prices quite often. Sneaky!

We had ladies lunch. The food was delicious. I had chicken piccata, theirs is the best. Greek salads and breads ticks are awesome. They also have a Apple Orchard chicken salad my husband and I love. Our server Brooke was great. Very attentive and accommodating.

Stopped here and it was busy for how late it was but the waitress was awesome never had to wait for any of our food everything was served on time and perfectly. I ordered a soup the waitress recommended I can’t remember what it was but I do remember it was delicious! Had the perch that was cooked to perfection and managed a desert that was also delicious vanilla ice cream and a warm chocolate cake or brownie my go to desert. The price was worth it considering the economy. Atmosphere was good tables separated at nice distance. I will definitely be going back. Sorry no pictures but who needs pictures when the food was awesome.
