Never been to the restaurant but have ordered multiple times via UberEats. I may actually visit eventually as the experience might be completely different than just ordering something delivered.
But here is the thing, while I thoroughly ENJOYED the food I’ve received each time. They are practically always missing something on the order – like 9 out of 10 times. Yes, I am able to always get a refund through the delivery app BUT it sure gets annoying after a while. Maybe they get really busy…maybe they just don’t have it together when it comes to packing to-go orders…or maybe, lol, they just don’t give a crap? I don’t know. I just wish they can get that aspect together since I really do enjoy the two items I always repeatedly order (Fried Goat & Goat Stew).
Now that I just wrote this…I’m going to just drive over and eat there and update accordingly after.

This plate was purchased around noon and I saved it for dinner. The roach seemed to be packed with the stewed cab bc when I took it out the microwave it was on the meat. This is disappointing and disgusting

Excellent food! Flavorful and authentic! Customer service could be better. Might concider looking up the menu ahead of time so you know what to get, but anything you order will come out looking great! Soul food, great potions sizes.

A bit informal in terms of sitting, which you’re welcome to order at the counter and eat there, the staff were warm and inviting. I tried The goat plate with fried plantains and black rice.
It was everything I thought it would be.

I wouldn’t recommend to eat in if you are looking for an unique ans pleasant experience always call and place your order otherwise you will be waiting for a good 10 minutes. The food is always good neverthelessthereate some dish that needs to be revised such as :, fried goat sometimes is over fried,the side sauce is extremely greasy, once I bought white rice and black beans, it had a funky smell to it. If you pay close detail to the food packaging it is slightly cover with the kitchen food residues nevertheless The service is still mediocre, you have to constantly remind them what you ordered because they constantly asked you. I figured that the old lady is the manager, her employees are scared of her because she always belittling them in front of customers which leads to not be able to work under pressure nevertheless I support the work and the Haitian community.

Paid $100 for Food poisoning from the Creole fish! Where do i even begin i am a lover of Haitian cuisine but this place has gone all the way down hill. First of all the food we got was not fresh and made us all sick. The macaroni salad was clearly expired you could smell it and they served it to us anyway. The salad didn’t even have dressing or come with any on the side. The rice was the best part but even that was extra greasy. They don’t have servers you have to order then grab your food and seat yourself. They dont have silverware or dinnerware, and you get your food in to go Styrofoam containers and plastic utensils to eat with and mind you this is a full size eat in restaurant. They had no water bottles for sale only soda and blended shakes. We didn’t even get napkins other then the one tiny napkin that comes in the plastic bag of utensils. The good old days of highland cuisine are gone and we will never be returning again. I wont be surprised if they close down in the near future. Oh and guaranteed all the 5 star reviews are fake and left by themselves or friends and family of the owners its obvious when you have so many bad reviews but somehow people will leave 5 stars and say its the best food and service around the math doesnt add up…

The beef veggie legume with plantains was the best dish we ordered. The meatballs were dry and not too flavorful. The limonade was delicious. We ordered takeout and the food was ready on time and staff were very nice. Like others, I probably wouldn’t recommend this place as a sit-down restaurant, but we enjoy having it from time to time as takeout.

Highland Cuisine will disappoint you but you’ll still come back. Everyone who leaves a bad review will be back. Yes, there is absolutely no customer service so don’t expect it but you will not get better Haitian Food anywhere. I’ve tried them all, a hack you need to use is ordering your food in person, not on the phone or through a delivery app. Usually when I do that the food comes out a lot better and when you come in, be aggressive and ask if anyone’s in line, if you see people standing around, do not assume they are in line. When you order your food stand near the desk, do not go to your car or walk around, just stand a lil off to the side. They are always overwhelmed with to go orders so if you’re not visible, they will accidentally give your food to someone else. I’ve been going here for 30 years so trust me I know.
