Highland Chinese is my FAVORITE place in all of Sacramento and Placer County to get Chinese food. The service is always great and the food is consistently incredible. My personal favorite is the Braised Tofu and Vegetable Chow Mein but a popular one among my family is the Hong Kong Style Pan Fried Noodles. Egg drop soup is perfect for cold weather days or sick days. Really everything there is good and you can’t go wrong

Orange chicken: really good. Mushroom chicken: good. Szechuan chicken: very good. The pork fried rice was excellent. And chow mein had a good flavor. Ordered take out was ready in 20 minutes and you get a good amount of food for the money, I recommend if your in the area.

They have great food my favorite beef and black bean chow fun, the peaking spare ribs and general chicken. It’s hard to find beef black bean chow fun at other places. I have been going to highland Chinese for 13 years and the food is still good. I have tried many other places and I just can’t find one that I like as much as highland Chinese. For a little hole in the wall restaurant it is very good.

First time eating food here, service is excellent. I ordered for pick up. Walnut prawns 5 stars, I liked it, needed few more walnuts, but taste was good. War won ton soup and combination chow mein two stars. The broth is flavorless. Won tons taste different from what I had in other places. Don’t expect to get the big size shrimp. They put in soup and chow mein nickle size shrimp. We did not care for combination chow mein taste either. I do have to say good portion for the chow mein. Customer service is excellent, lady was very nice when I walked in and my food was ready for pick up.

I picked up a lunch special of orange chicken and not only was it a huge amount but it came jam packed with an egg roll, fried rice and chow mein all hot and delicious! Looking forward to finishing it for dinner! Two meals for me all for $9! Pickup was fast and easy, I was in and out in a minute because I called ahead. So glad they are still open for takeout!!
