We had a disappointing experience at High Velocity and it seemed like an off night overall. When we first walked up, there was no one available to seat us, so we sat ourselves. Shortly after, the wait staff became aggravated and told us to move to another area, which ended up being another server’s section. That server was not polite and came across as rude.
The food took a long time to arrive, and unfortunately it wasn’t good. I couldn’t finish my sandwich. What really stood out, though, was what I witnessed when I went to use the restroom—I saw the manager chewing out the hostess for not seating people, and she referred to me and my coworker as “stupid people” for seating ourselves because no one was there.
Between the service, food quality, and that interaction, it left a bad impression. Hopefully this was just an off night, because the atmosphere and concept have potential.

This place was very convenient to our hotel. What made it so great was our waitress. Key, her suggestions, her smile and service were top of the line. The salad was great. The cauliflower wings were okay. I didn’t like all the breading. For some reason, I was expecting a house made, but they looked and tasted, prepacked . Key suggested a new sparkling water, and now I’m hooked. My friend had the same salad with an impossible burger added. There are not too many vegan/plantbased options, but it’s still a good place..

We frequently visited High Velocity every evening to chill out during our stay in Atlanta. It was conveniently located inside the Marriott Marquis hotel. The nachos, buffalo dip, the chicken fingers – were all good. The service was however, slow for the most part. Other than that, there was a space for pool table which seemed to be huge hit with the patrons!

This is a wonderful hotel but this is thé worst food I’ve ever had. I’ll say the server was good and was honest that they didn’t make the pizza themselves. The pasta was terrible. I ordered a 20$ glass of wine and the bartender poured a cheap wine and I sent it back and they admitted it was not the right one. The one I had was undrinkable. Waste of $40 completely. It’s shameful from this Marriott, and all the other restaurants were closed that night except this one. Really horrible.

Inside the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, Atrium level. It was surprisingly empty when we arrived shortly before 7:00 on a Saturday night, but did fill up later. Our server was very friendly and helpful, keeping our water glasses full, and others checked on us also as we dined. The menu is very small. My dining companion’s chicken Caesar salad was pretty standard. I had the pulled pork and the meat was very tasty. The accompanying special barbecue sauce was way too sweet for my taste. The French fries were cooked just right. Multiple TVs playing every variety of sports. It was not cheap but the prices are standard for this kind of hotel.

I was very impressed by the service. I got the shrimp and fries to start out the night and the brownie and champagne to end the night. Highly recommend sitting at the bar. Everyone is super friendly and food was delicious. I live in Atlanta and want to come back just for the experience I received tonight. A++++++

We got there right after they opened and the cook staff must show up when they want cause our food took forever. They comped us Buffalo chicken dip since we waited so long. But other than that it was good, drinks are pricey $16.50 for tito and cranberry.
