We stopped by for a quick lunch before heading to Maine for a Zoo and the coast. They were apparently training in a new cashier and so service was a little lot slow. My husband got a twin lobster dinner which was very fascinating. (Lacked a bit of salt) I had the captain combo. Delicious if you’re hungry for deep-fried food! Also had onion rings. The tables were sticky and the whole place seemed a little rundown. However the water was good and cold !!!

We have tried the Broasted Chicken!! Amazing flavor and Fall off the Bone Juicy Chicken! The Captains Plate is Enough food for 2!
The portions are Large when it comes to Seafood. The Garden salad is full of Fresh Vegetables and Crisp Lettuce.
The Fried Pickles are Excellent!
Its nice to eat at a Restaurant that makes there own dipping sauces. ( tartar ,cocktail , Ranch) and when you ask for a condiment they give you a Handful not just 1!
The Service is Excellent. We have been when they are slammed and also when they are quiet! Everyone working there seems to be Happy and Upbeat and they make you Feel very Welcomed and are very accommodating!

This is my servings time here. First time they completely forgot my food and I got it after asking for a refund because the person I was with had finished her meal. Thought I’d give it another shot. Service was neither good or bad, they were just there. No pleasantries, no hello, just stood there waiting for us to say something. Food came out and my husband got fried sea scallops ,I got baked. His were regular looking, mine were chopped into small pieces. This made them tougher than they should be. And for$34.00 there really should be a full portion of them. The sparse sprinkling of the bread crumbs topping did nothing for them. Gave the food a 2 because the onion rings were good. Cole slaw was flavorless. No plan on returning for strike 3

Never thought I liked fish, but that fish and chips? WOW! Wonderful. Followed that up with a “small” ice cream cone which did not disappoint! The place has a friendly environment and the setup of the restaurant is really nice. I would recommend to people looking for a laid back dinner or carryout, and to anyone looking for ice cream in the area.

This is one of the very best kept secrets in New Hampshire dining! Their seafood is very delicious. They’re ice cream taste. Oh so good. And their onion nuggets are outstanding.. Highly recommend eating here.
