I recently visited High Thai while returning from my road trip to upstate New York, and I was quite impressed by the food and atmosphere. Walking in, you order at the counter before you sit down. Once you order, you sit in a very open and welcoming dining room, with a cool pin board map at the far end of the room.

This place is absolutely INCREDIBLE! The owners are young and cool and totally understand how to design the perfect restaurant. The menu isn’t huge (and overwhelming), but everything is fresh and dialed-in. You order at the counter, there’s a big water container (so you don’t have to wait for a waiter). The beer selection is always rotating and solid.

The food here was excellent! We also got a beer and it was delicious. The room was really pretty with nice skylight lighting. We will definitely come here again when in Brattleboro.

The food was quite good, if not authentic Thai and a little sweet, we still really enjoyed our meal. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. I would definitely come back.

The food is pretty good — not so authentic but still good. A little spicier would be better. This is not a Thai Restaurant but rather a hip place, a bar really, with good Thai. It is very noisy and one orders at a counter. A nice place to go but not what one would call a Thai Restaurant.

As Thai food goes, rather disappointing. Shrimp Pad See ew & and Chicken Pad Thai – chicken was leather and shrimp overdone. Pad Thai was very sweet! No standard fish sauce & chillies available. The service…. Get your own silverware order at the counter?!? Ask for an 18% tip at pre pay check out. You get the same level of service at McDonald’s! Nobody even came by to ask how our food tastes. Maybe it’s okay for those ignorant about Thai food.

Delicious appetizers (spring rolls and somozas) and main dishes (peanut curry tofu and winter soup). The saison beer on tap was very good as well. Nice ambiance; friendly service. Highly recommended.

Love this place! Moved to Vermont from a big city and the one thing I missed so much was great Thai. This place hits the spot and I’m so glad they opened! I get the red curry pretty much every time and it’s delicious. The beer is great, staff are super nice and helpful and I’ve never had a long wait for anything. Also the ambiance is perfect – feels a little fancy like you’re “out to eat” but also casual with ordering food at the bar.

Food and drinks were both incredible! Owner is very personable and helpful with his beer recommendations. If you go the peanut wings are a must try!
