Such cute and cozy tea room!
This place is reservations only, which I didn’t know before visiting. I travelled far to come here, so the owner was kind enough to take me in for a cup of tea. Their Christmas tea was so good. If you love Bridgerton kind of ambiance, you need to check this place out. The whole downtown area was small but cute, covered in snow with Christmas decor, so it was worth visiting. It was giving hallmark town vibe. I am definitely coming back with a reservation!

We decided to try high tea with Gerri on a Sunday afternoon around 1pm even with a bridal party happening at the same time they were able to accommodate a table for 2. We were very happy. Gerri the Owner was very friendly and accommodating and seated us promptly she was happy we stopped by. The servers were both wonderful and attentive even with the party going on in the back ground. The tea was fresh and warm and delicious. The sandwiches tasted fresh and delicious only thing I would recommend is season the egg sandwiches a little more it was a bit dry and lacked flavor. The raisins scones were fantastic paired with the jams the desserts were delicious as well. I would highly recommend this place for afternoon tea! 10/10, would return. Thank you!

What a wonderful experience. I brought some of the special women in my life for the unique experience of high tea. Every one was so impressed and happy. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I really love that they thought about making sure to take pictures of the guests at the table as well. I might recommend hand wipes in a pretty bowl for after the courses because some foods are easier eaten with hands.

TLDR: Prepackaged, skimpy, or unmemorable food. Inconsistent tea quality. It’s not bad, but it’s not worth $60 pp. Also, heads up that there’s a much larger parking lot to the left of the building.

I hate writing bad reviews, but I feel like I was tricked by the other reviews, so this is a breakdown for others.

My first complaint is the food. As a result of my college years, I am very familiar with the taste of Trader Joe’s food. I immediately clocked that the soup was the roasted red pepper and tomato boxed soup from TJs. The macarons were the frozen boxed ones from TJs. These things don’t taste bad, but they are very unmemorable.

The sandwiches had decent bread, but the fillings in them were extremely thin. The cucumber sandwiches had the thinnest smear of cream cheese. Honestly, not even sure if it was cream cheese because of how little there was. Why bother serving imitation crab? The smallest pieces of salmon were on tiny circles of bread. Everything was so bland.

As for the deserts, this was the most disappointing. The frozen TJs macarons, a centimeter of ganache with a “lavender cream”, and petit fours that tasted like Twinkies. There was no detectable lavender in the cream. At least it tasted like real cream and not reddi-whip. The worst was the petit fours. They were cloyingly sweet. I reverse image searched them and I’m 100% sure they are the Mr Kipling French fancies.

The final straw was the tea itself. There’s only one choice, which I knew going in. It’s an English Breakfast and Earl Grey blend, so basically a weak Earl Grey. It would have been better if it was just one of them. The tea tasted fine at first but one of the refills was extremely weak and translucent. Barely a yellow color.

Cheaping out on the food? Okay, but the tea itself??? Come on. In general, my expectation when I’m paying for tea is a freshly steeped pot that I can pour for myself. Is it really hard to do that? I can get freshly steeped tea from any old coffee shop. Why not here? I did not like that it was a few people walking around trying to serve food, greet new arrivals, and serve tea from communal teapots.

Using prepackaged food and serving one type of tea is a great way to be economical. However, at $60 a person, I expect better.

If you’ve never done anything like this before, or have never eaten from TJs, or just need a spot to chat, this is probably fine. As a tea lover, I was left very disappointed.

Delightful experience! I had afternoon tea and it was a lovely experience. They had some pretty standard tea sandwiches, desserts, and raisin scones with clotted cream, lemon curd, and strawberry jam. Everything was very well made and the attention to detail with the sandwiches was great. Their specialty tea is an English breakfast-earl grey mix. The tea was very good, did not need cream or sugar.

Sonya helped us on that day and she was also lovely. Described everything very well and was attentive and kind.

This afternoon tea was the perfect portion and a fair price at $48 per person. Afternoon tea is less courses than the standard service. I would maybe try the standard just to taste everything, but I would have ended up with too much food.

It’s a lovely and elegant place for tea and a memorable experience. Staff were great! (Sonia was our server/hostess) The interior here is gorgeous with all the decor, dishes, etc. There’s a lot of attention to detail here. The food is delicious and art to the eyes. The tea was perfect. We enjoyed every part of our experience here. We recommend to anyone who can afford it. Thank you!

We hosted my sister’s wedding shower at High Tea with Gerri, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. Gerri is so lovely to work with, as is her team of planners and servers. They were quick to respond to questions, and helped us incorporate some special touches that were meaningful to our family. They truly went above and beyond!

The room was absolutely lovely, and all of our guests commented on the decor and beautiful settings. The food was delicious, and I wish I could have eaten more! Everything on the menu is lovingly crafted with an artistic eye, and tastes as good as it looks!

As a business owner in the hospitality sector, I know the amount of hard work that goes into delivering a top notch experience for guests. High Tea with Gerri is one of the few businesses I’ve found who live up to the same standards I uphold for my business. You can’t go wrong with booking them.

We just had afternoon tea at Gerri’s and it was truly a lovely experience! My spouse and I are from out of town visiting family. This tea house is a fun place with great food and delicious tea! We had a family member get off work earlier than she planned and wanted to join us. Gerri was extremely flexible. She added another person to our reservation with no issues. Wonderful/friendly staff. Gluten free options available, nice decor, and ambiance. One thing to note – there are stairs. Not good for wheelchairs from what I could see.

We booked both rooms to celebrate my wife’s birthday with a bunch of friends and family and had an amazing time. Miranda was so easy to work with and Gerri made it special for everyone. Even the uncles, fathers, and guy friends got into dressing up! The champagne service and food selection were excellent. We’ll definitely be coming back!
