We ordered the poached shrimp, grilled octopus, the spaccatelli pasta with leeks, trottle bolognese, squash pizza, crimini pizza, and the grilled hanger steak.
Overall, the food was good. The spaccatelli and squash pizza were must-tries—they were so good. That said, some dishes were burnt. The pizza was burnt for the most part, and the veggies for the steak were burnt. The trottle was a bit on the undercooked side, as it was still a bit hard to chew.
I love the concept and the food overall, but maybe tone down the burnt a bit.
Restaurant week menu at $60/pp was so worth it: a complimentary mezze plate, appetizers were octopus & steak tartare (not pictured, octopus was so good), and for main we had the pasta and roast chicken. THE ROAST CHICKEN WAS INCREDIBLE! Simple, yet so delicious, moist & saucy. Did not even need a starch to balance it. For dessert, we had the ice cream & cronut – both delicious. We had enough food to eat for lunch the next day too! Highly recommend.
The pastrami sandwich was meaty and full of flavor as other reviews mentioned. Definitely worth trying if your hungry. The chicken sandwich is everything people are saying and is delicious with a unique taste. The avocado toast though is a delight and is the most popular item here and I can see why. If you are looking for a brunch item then that is it! Its so well done and that alone is worth a visit here. Brussel sprouts were very good if your into that. Soup of the day was really good too!
The drinks were all great but the stand out which wasn’t on the menu was the expresso martini! It was so good thats the one item I didnt take a picture lol. It was well done and is one of the best in the city.
All the servers and hosts were great and attentive and the food came out promptly. I was seated pretty fast and the sounds and ambience was on point! I plan to come back again very soon! Thank you!
I don’t recommend highly for vegan folks. It was a bit expensive for a pizza.
The size of the meal was WAY too big. For the second course they brought two entree sized portions when there was a third course coming. The food was pretty good overall, VERY salty, oysters were 10/10, but not sure how well thought out it was for the price.
