What a fun place – the food was fantastic. Pablo was an incredible host who took care of every need. We had a large Spinach Salad, which was enough for four people. It was fresh and delicious. The wings were large, meaty, crispy and VERY tasty. The two pizzas were over the top. An incredible crust topped generously with meat and/or vegetarian toppings. A decent selection of beers paired well with pur meal.
This place was so good, it is worth a second visit… maybe a lunch before we leave Leadville!

– Bacchanalia Pizza
Both of these were fantastic in very different ways. I loved the sweetness of the grapes on the Bacchanalia. It was one of the most unique pizzas I’ve had. The pork seasoning was delicious on the San Luís.
It’s a busy place during lunch on the weekends and there is very little indoor seating, so be prepared to eat outside or take it to go.

Such a cool lil spot! Went here on a whim and did not regret it. Staff was insanely nice and thoughtful and the pizza, my gosh the crust is the best! Gotta stop by if you’re in Leadville.

We had heard about High Mountain Pies before we came to visit Leadville. They did not disappoint, the staff was friendly and set an awesome atmosphere, the San Luis pie was exceptional. If we are back here in our travels we will stop by again, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

The restaurant offers a comfortable dining experience. The service was excellent, and our food was delivered in a timely manner. We highly recommend the BBQ wings, Monte Vista club sandwich, and Deluxe pizza, all of which were exceptional!

Must-eat pizza! This is fantastic pizza and super friendly staff! Pablo and the rest of the crew were refreshingly kind, professional, and accommodating! If you’re anywhere in the Leadville area, come here for not only some crunchy outside, soft inside pizza crust and unique pizza combos, but enjoy the AMAZING customer service! We had the Crocodile and the Deluxe pizzas. Small interior seating but lots of outdoor seating with beautiful atmosphere, heaters. It’s worth taking to go if you must!

We ended up eating here by accident and it was delicious! We sat outside on a nice afternoon. Ordered a mini super and it was absolutelyfabulous. Light crust but not necessarily thin. Perfect amount of toppings with a little heat. Also ordered the wings, which were also great! Dry rubbed and tossed. We liked it so much that we came back the next day for dinner and had another mini super. We sat inside this time. The staff was super friendly, checked in on us and are attentive. They genuinely seem like they put their heart and soul into the foods they craft and ir shows. Highly recommend grabbing a bite to eat here.

This is the secret to a great garlic flavor, and a disappointing one. The garlic bread here did not disappoint.
Neither did the pizza. We ordered sonething random with pepper, avocado and other stuff on it. I thought it’d be a little goofy but the toppings worked extraordinarily well together.
The crust was great, the cheese was great, the sauce was great. Just an overall tasty experience.
The only downside is that the place was packed when we showed up and there were no tables to sit at. However, they were happy to send us over to the Scarlet Tavern and they delivered our food there. Which was also a nice place, and we had a great time.
Would highly recommend anyone who likes pizza and is in Leadville to stop here.
