I came here for their lunch service and had a good time! This cozy restaurant in Williamsburg offers some pretty authentic Viet dishes from noodles to rice to banh mi. They also have really good sparkling Viet drinks and viet coffee! Service here is nice.
We got their salad rolls, mi quang, and bo kho with their salted lemonade and coconut cream viet coffee. Everything was great. The mi quang was a huge portion with tons of pork, quail eggs, and shrimp. Meanwhile the bo kho had super tender beef and was very fragrant. Loved my Viet coffee and the salted lemonade was so refreshing. Great spot for some casual Vietnamese food in Brooklyn!

Cute NYC-inspired ambiance makes this pho spot stand out. The service was friendly and attentive throughout my visit. The chicken pho could use more chicken, and the special beef pho was served a bit cold. Overall, the flavors were decent but not particularly memorable. Worth a visit for the vibe and good service, but pho lovers may want a bit more from the food.

High Lúa is a cozy Vietnamese spot to enjoy in Willamsburg. The food is good but not amazing. The service is friendly and the space is small but well decorated. Something about their vegetable pho didn’t fully hit for me but I still enjoyed the experience and would come try it again. The space is fairly small so not a good fit for large groups.

I used to come here a lot more often as my hangover cure. This time was for dinner and it was unfortunately a little disappointing. I ordered the chicken pho and the portions were noticeably small compared to other viet spots in the city. The noodles were surprisingly al dente, which is not my preference. There is def a dearth of solid viet spots in Williamsburg, but would be nice for High Lua to change it up and fill the void.

High Lúa is a hidden gem in Brooklyn! The pho is incredibly flavorful—easily some of the best I’ve had. The Vietnamese iced coffee hits the spot, and the service is friendly and attentive. Low-key spot, but big on taste. Highly recommend!

Great staff, even better food and a cute space that felt authentic and modern. Most people are used to Southern Vietnamese food so it was a surprise when it turned out to be Northern! The pho broth was excellent and homemade, not the cubed broth flavoring a lot of other restaurants use. The appetizer portions were quite large for lunch and our group realized halfway through that we might have ordered too much! I would definitely return.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the whole city. The vibes are perfect and not too loud but always pleasant. The food is the best Vietnamese food in Brooklyn and is so reasonably priced and affordable. The waiters are friendly and helpful. There is a sign on the wall that says “High Lua The Best Restaurant” and every time I come here I agree. I’ve been a customer for 4 years and I hope it never leaves!

Get that pho!! Also I added two orders of chili oil. It smells so nice and spicy. So good!
Don’t recommend the coconut latte. Too bitter and too sugary at the same time…

My new go-to pho place! Really good! The only place as good if not better than Sao Mei. Noodles thicker than I’m used to but the broth is divine. Love that the spring rolls come with lettuce without asking. Iced coffee was on point too. Can’t believe I haven’t tried this place sooner.

Sadly updating my review after coming here once a week for many months. A cockroach appeared on the counter next to my table, thankfully I finished eating and told the staff but they were totally unbothered and unapologetic. They didn’t even kill it.
Delicious vegetarian pho been coming here for a few years my fav in the area
