The food is excellent! I had to get a little bit of everything. The tacos are so delicious especially the pastor, best pastor I’ve ever had! The asada fries are a must! So much flavor and they are not stingy with meat and toppings! And the quesadilla was filled they definitely make the best quesadillas too! This place is a must, the food and service is top tier!

Me and my girl stopped by High Desert Tacos and honestly it felt like eating a real homemade meal rather than typical fast Mexican food. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. The fried fish was perfectly crispy on the outside while still juicy and flavorful inside, and the rice and beans had that authentic homemade taste that’s hard to find anymore. The quesatacos were just as good. generous filling, melted cheese, and a rich consommé on the side that tied everything together perfectly. Every bite felt comforting and satisfying.
If you’re looking for a spot that serves delicious, authentic food that feels like it came straight from someone’s home kitchen, this place is absolutely worth the visit. You can tell they take pride in what they serve.

The food was very clean & delicious they actually close at 4pm on Sundays not at 9pm like it says on Google. The owner was so nice and still served us dinner we got to the establishment at 4:30 pm he was cleaning up for the day and with a big smile and welcome he attended our taco and nachos cravings. Highly recommended .

We come here at least once a week and it never disappoints! Their Chile Verde burritos are packed with flavor, and the quesa birria tacos are hands down our favorite. Everything is always fresh, tasty, and consistent. Totally recommend

We just moved to the high desert and been searching for a good authentic Mexican restaurant and finally found it!!! The food was delicious and they had great customer service. We didn’t want onion and they went above and beyond to make us a special guacamole without it. Great place and amazing food. Our new favorite restaurant for sure!!! Highly recommend!

So….I heard about this place and I was craving tacos anyway so…..yup!
My wife ordered the Chili relleno plate while I was being a basic just getting 2 tacos and a quesadilla.
The people taking our order was really friendly, and the place was very clean.
The food was excellent!
My wife finished her whole plate….which is rare and I stuffed my face like I was a baby Learning how to feed myself.
I’ll definitely will be back

honestly the best asada fries I’ve ever had, everything was evenly distributed (the onions, cilantro, sour cream and guacamole) the presentation of the fries when you open it is truly beautiful. the guy that was there was super nice and understanding, and the whole place was just so great. even though it seemed the guy was working by himself, the fries he made were so good and we are definitely coming back here again.

I just ate here 2/17/24this place is over rated. Food was over priced, tacos were very small, their cocktail shrimp had no flavor, ingredients inside were old, they didn’t peel the shrimp on cocktail.they didn’t even give us a plate to put under cup of cocktail not enough ketchup that tiny cup was $11 .My taco plate with rice was very small for the price.. here I send photos.this place needs to be 2 stars . Never eating here again..

I have been in search of great Birria tacos for the past couple of years, and I finally found them. They are Big, juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. I can’t help saying Mmm every time I take a bite.
I usually order the Quesabirria Special with light cheese, that way I can taste more of the delicious mouth watering shredded meat. It comes with 3 Big tacos. (Hand in the picture to compare). They put a good helping of meat, so it’s quit filling. I can usually only eat 2 tacos and have to share the 3rd. The tacos come with a good helping of consomé (photo). It also comes with limes, cucumber, and radish. Chips and Salsa are provided with dine in. It’s best to eat them immediately, as the tortilla will not hold well if you take it to go.
The price is reasonable for all that you get. The customer service has also been great so far and the Chef is very personable. I usually don’t write reviews (my 2nd time), but I had to spread the word and let everyone know about this Gem.

The wet burrito was a great sauce however I ordered carnitas WHICH I HAVE TO SAY WERE SUPER MOIST but I’m Latina and maybe I costed TJ too much but I like the fry crisp edges of carnitas but theirs were just soft and super moist as if baked. Add a lil salt and they were bomb I just miss the crisp. The hot Cheetos asada burrito well that was for my kid and the nacho cheese made it soggy and he didn’t even finish it which I was surprised. The torta bread was super crisp but the birria (beef) lacked flavor. Geez I sound like such a fatty but we love food and good food that costs a lot is always worth it. I feel the prices are super fair and they made MASSIVE sized burritos which was awesome but sad to say the al pastor burrito I had tasted like flavored asada that was dry but the RICE inside the burrito was super bomb. If o ever went back I would order a bean rice and cheese burrito because the rice inside was amazing. The workers were super nice and helpful the PLACE WAS SUPER CLEAN so I feel bad rating it a 3 but with the tiny parking lot and the lack of flavor in the food it’s unlikely I would go back. To each their own maybe you will like it! I like that it seems they started out of a food truck and ended up with their own restaurant which I love the story and they should be proud we gotta support the local businesses so try them out maybe you will like it. If I ever want to buy a cup I rice I will go here for sure.
