If you’re passing through Monticello, Utah High Desert Cafe is the place to stop. The staff is so knowledgeable and understanding of the area, plus they are really fun to talk to. There food is amazing because they cook everything so fresh with organic ingredients..love love it

We ordered a take out: Cappuccino each and Sweet Cream Pancakes. Delicious!
They also have cute mugs, journals, jewelry, small bags, candles, body care items, etc.
They have inside and outside dining.
Definitely worth visiting!
100% recommend!

We went back the same day for lunch!
We ordered diabolo burger (added bacon to it) with fries.
We also ordered Star Spangled Strawberry (my favorite) and Topical Fantasy.
The fries were INCREDIBLE! Honestly, one of the best fries ever!

Ordered omelet with bacon on the side, buttermilk pancakes, eggs, sausage, along with some coffee.
Absolutely delicious!
Will return again!

The turkey panini was outstanding! Service was quick for lunch. My friend’s chicken sandwich was also great. Yesterday we had the peach smoothie which was tasty. We came back for breakfast since he menu looks great, we could try something new every day.

Food and coffee were quite good, but the staff/owner is incredibly unfriendly to guests. I hadn’t even finished my coffee before a server came up and asked me to vacate my table for another guest. I was planning to buy another coffee to go and a tshirt or souvenir from this location, but now I won’t bother. Don’t plan to spend more time than it takes to eat here.

This place makes some good food and drinks. Definently a stop for me any time I come through here. The seating has some very nice options as well as great atmosphere. I also very much enjoyed service. The prices are also fair for the great food you get. Honestly probably best food in this town.

This cafe could be 5 stars if staff were more communicative and were more friendly to guests. I asked staff for a side of blueberries. She said yes. I never got them so finally figured out I should go out front to order and pay for them. She couldn’t tell me that? The syrup was refrigerator cold. Warm or at least room temperature would go a long way in making the French toast really good! I wish they had offered me the option of blueberries with the French toast giving me the option of saying yes or no. This cafe could be five stars if staff were just given some training and share these reviews with them to know what guests expect so they are meeting or exceeding our expectations. You might even sell a lot more blueberries! : )
