We have eaten at High Country BBQ multiple times now. The brisket is so tender, ribs we ordered slid right off the bone, the potato salad is amazing, and the pulled pork is delicious! Planning to make some carnitas with the leftovers! Jan & John are incredibly friendly and passionate about BBQ!! They also smoked a whole turkey for us for Thanksgiving that was perfect! Ask them about catering and special orders, they have great ideas and also have a lot of specials!

Beyond expectation bbq, it’s small business emphasizes quality, the owners are very friendly. Back ribs are great, but the brisket are truly amazing, I usually found brisket are too dry, but the one here got a decent tenderness and juicy taste. The hot sauce really brings the taste to next level, it reminds me of Xinjiang seasoning a bit. Don’t miss this place if you get around.

THE BEST BBQ WE HAVE HAD IN COLORADO!! Oh my! Brings us back home! The coleslaw is to DIE FOR, wishing I got some to take home! The owner was beyond sweet and caring and checked on us after getting the food to make sure we loved it! My son who is the most picky eater ate EVERY single piece of the pulled pork I had and even some brisket and stole the rest of the potato salad! I was amazed! Thank you for the delish food and kindness we will be back!!☺️☺️

We ordered ribs, brisket and chicken here. The ribs is flavorful, bone slide right off and seasoned perfectly, the brisket is so juicy and tender, and the chicken is great for what it is. Jan is so passionate about their food, and her hot BBQ sauce is absolutely the best of the best. I would visit again and recommend anyone who passed by give them a shot.

We were on our way back to Denver from skiing, stuck in traffic and starving. Thankfully we found High Country BBQ! Be sure to pay attention because it’s easy to miss, but well worth the stop. Jan was welcoming and friendly and the food was amazing! We’ll definitely be stopping by when we pass through again.

I was skeptical after seeing it only had a few reviews, but they were all 5 stars and I was hungry. My expectations were beyond exceeded. The owners said they were from Texas and had been doing bbq for quite some time. After getting the pulled pork I can confirm they are both from Texas and have been doing bbq for quite some time. Not only was the texture of the pork exactly what it should be, but the smoky flavor was amazing. My girlfriend who doesn’t really like pork said it was the best she’s ever had. The portions were big and the sides were great. No complaints besides it isn’t closer to my house! If you’re looking for good authentic bbq ,or you’re just hungry nearby go check this place out.

“Crack high, country bbq”. I used to go to this place a lot when they had a stand in front of the family dollar. They guy who runs the place is straight up. I went to their new location today and the woman running it seemed CRACKED out of her mind. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. She was struggling to complete the most simple task and took ab 20 min to make a plate while falling all over the place, spacing out,and talking weird. I wanted to leave the whole time but I honestly felt bad for her and didn’t want to be rude and back out of the order. At the end of my experience she charged me extra for the food. I know the prices in the menu. I’m tossing my plate bc I can’t trust someone who is as high as she was to follow food safety procedures. Smallest meat portion I’ve ever had at a bbq place. I will not be back and the woman Jan and how she carried her self is why.
