An eclectic and cozy wine bar featuring curated wines, music, and paired bites. HiFi is gathering place for the passionately curious—where the art of flavor, sound, and design converge. Sure, this is a place for the wine geeks and deep cuts enthusiasts. But also a meeting place where locals come to relax, refresh, explore, make new memories, and reminisce about old ones. And of course, where those just passing through discover a warm-hearted community. HiFi has been recognized and awarded for its wine list and deep cellar. On the weekend, top DJ’s from the renowned KMHD spin vinyl live. Throughout the week, our staff of sommeliers plays DJ with our expansive vinyl collection. Our chef provides a seasonal menu of delicious paired bites.

Just a really cool bar. Evan has created an incredible atmosphere to discover and share wine with friends old and new. Ben and Davis really know their stuff. They have curated an incredible wine list with amazing local and international selections. The prices are fair, the producers are amazing and the service is warm and unpretentious. Literally my favourite place anywhere to get a glass of wine. Their music is all played from records and the selection is killer.

$18 a glass for a $37 bottle retail! These glasses are way overpriced. I am a former restaurant owner and I work in the wine industry, and I can confidently say the policies at Hi Fi Wine Bar are completely absurd and nowhere near industry standard. I’ve never been to a wine bar or restaurant that refuses to let guests taste wines before committing to a full pour, especially at their price point. Yet the bartender here would not allow us to taste anything.

Since tasting wasn’t permitted, I asked him about the wines to help guide our choices, and he still couldn’t answer basic questions. The few descriptions he offered were inaccurate, and we ended up purchasing wine we didn’t enjoy at an overpriced rate, which is exactly why tasting is standard practice in this industry.

To make matters worse, the bartender had an attitude and was not friendly or welcoming. With so many great wine bars in walking distance, you’d expect a higher level of customer service. Clearly that’s not a priority here.

And one more strange detail: they advertise that they have records, but you are not allowed to pick the records they play…

Overall an incredibly disappointing visit. I wouldn’t recommend this place when there are so many better options nearby.

Response to their review:
Your wines are not an affordable markup as you claim, you charge $18 a glass for a $37 bottle retail Pinot Noir. Their response avoids the feedback and takes no responsibility for the bad service and policies. The wine server was not able to answer one simple question about the flavor profiles of the wines. His recommendations were off when we asked for specific wine profiles. If the server is not able to articulate the flavors and notes of the wines correctly a taste should be offered or the glass should be sent back.

Lovely spot especially when the DJs are spinning tunes. Davis knows his wine and loves to share his knowledge. I even got a smile out of him. Thank you to our friends at the Compass who recommended this spot.

Loved this place! Easily the best wine list in town of both local and foreign wines. Amazing staff – they are extremely knowledgeable and fantastic to pick their brain. You can choose your own record to play, and they’ve got a free pool table – great place to get lost in!

In town for 5 nights during harvest and came here 3 times. Global multi-producer selection allows you to taste and compare aspirations and achievements. Food in small plate format is delicious and appropriate. THE place for SOMMs and tradesmen and women.

We were here for the last night of our vacation in Oregon. We’d done some wine tasting, and a lot of the winery workers recommended coming here, so we did. It was super fun.

We came in, and the space is really nice. It has a pool table in the back, lots of seating at the bar as well as comfy couches, chairs and tables all around, and a huge chandelier with old-school Edison bulbs. There’s also a large collection of vinyl records – fun choices. All and all, a nice ambience, with some playfulness and an adult vibe.

We got some food and some wine – my husband got a tempranillo and a white Burgundy, and I got a sparkling rose and a Nerello Mascalese. All were tasty, well served, right temperature, right glasses. Just on point. The food was also surprisingly tasty and nicely prepared – this is way, way nicer than your average bar food, so adjust your expectations accordingly. We got some seasonal pasta and an onion tart, both of which were good, and no complaints there either. We were having a grand old time. We finished off with some dessert wine and blue cheese – great match.

We’d asked for some recommendations on what wines would be good with what food, what the differences between wines would be, and what might be fun to take a bottle home. I can’t vouch for the take-home bottle yet, but all of the other info we got was spot-on. They know what they are doing.

We’d come back any day, and will the next time we’re in Oregon. This is a great place to go for fantastic wine, good help, and a really happy friendly vibe. They take their wine seriously, and we’re so pleased we went. But even if you only kind of like wine, or are just looking for a fun bar, go. You’ll be happy you did.
