The best fried chicken on the south side of Chicago. No doubt. And let’s not forget about the hot sauce. Famous. 3 juicy thighs and 2 large breasts satisfied my craving for some fried chicken. It’s no wonder why they still in business. Good food speaks for itself.

Love the shrimp and Chicken with the Hienie’s mild sauce. The employees are very nice with the customers and it’s a very busy restaurant so be ready to wait for your food but it’s definitely worth it. Hienie’s is definitely a hidden gem on the south side of Chicago with their signature sauce and they also have it in hot sauce as well.

Tried this place for the first time a month ago and i had a lovely experience. Customer service and food was great. The food was also amazing. I didn’t order fries but they gave me some anyways which is awesome. I just went back today and ordered a quarter pound of shrimp. The white man with a beard at the register decided to give me half a pound instead! This made my day may god bless that man. He also threw me in another sauce. Customer service is beyond top tier and so is the food. The prices make it even better. This place deserves to be in chicago HOF

First time in here in years and none of them had on any gloves. The cook she was mixing her hands all in the batter with lengthy nails at that. Not sanitary. The cashier was the only one who had on gloves. Cook had no hair net on either!!! She kept wiping her hands on the dirty apron she had on while touching other objects. She never washed her hands. I don’t plan on going back unless they step up thier cleanliness with handling food.

I love family run businesses, and this is one of them! The fried chicken is outrageously delicious and so is the perch, fried shrimp and coleslaw. I wanted to give it five stars, but there are 2 small problems. I wish they had better fries. The fries are standard crinkle cut frozen fries. They are fine, but don’t match the “specialness” of the chicken, perch and shrimp. I’d also say the restaurant interior could use a freshening up. But neither of these things will stop me from going back!

It was my first time ever coming to this establishment. When I arrive, there was a gentleman that arrived after me. For whatever reason, they serve the guy that they knew and were familiar with before me. (No he wasn’t doing pick up, he was placing his order) To me that lacks professionalism why am I just standing inside of your establishment waiting to see if someone’s gonna take my order. I did not order and Will not be back.

Old fashion dive spot that is a hit amongst locals. Hienie’s is a personal favorite of mine. Chicken and fries are always fresh when I order. Chicken was juicy and delicious. Also had a slice of pizza and that was really good.
I’m not a hot sauce fan but my brothers rave about the bright orange hot sauce.
