Recently moved close to this area and what an amazing little hidden gem! It’s located in a small shopping center close to the cuppa cuppa drive through which is why I noticed it. Parking is fairly easy and there’s never a wait. My husband and I have dined in twice now and both time have been a great experience. You are greeted when you enter and you can pick your table. The server/cashier will bring you water. You scan the QR code on the table and order through your phone! Very user friendly, they also have physical menus if people prefer that. We tried their cucumber salad 10/10 such nice vinegar and oil flavor (great pallet cleanser). Xaio Long Bao are a must try! 20/10 they’re that good! The Szechuan spicy wontons are 10/10, if you’re familiar with Szechuan and can handle the tingly numbing feel of the chili, you’ll love these! My husband also tried the orange chicken and that was a 9/10 very natural orange flavor and coated well! Overall all the dishes we’ve tried have been amazing. Definitely recommend

The food is good here. We got here before 6:30 on a weekend and got seated right away. Just scan the QR code on the table to order from the menu. Great service and we didn’t have to wait long for the food to come out. The chicken portion is a little bit small but the kids liked it. Price is reasonable. Parking is easy to find.

Attractively priced and absolutely delicious dumplings! The portions are generous, so you really get great value for your money.
The staff is super friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. A fantastic casual spot for dumplings. I highly recommend!

I was looking to try a new dim sum place nearby and found this hole in the wall restaurant. Plenty of parking and there was only one other group eating there when we came in.

We ordered the pork xlb, shrimp xlb, shumai, and beef noodle soup. The dim sum had the perfect amount of dough to filling ratio and was seasoned well—not too doughy like some places. Loved the beef noodle soup as well, noodles had a nice al dente texture with tender beef and broccoli—the broth was very flavorful too. Definitely coming back next time and will try the spicy beef noodle soup to compare.

The food took 10-15 minutes to come out but it was well worth the wait since it was made fresh. If you’re looking for a no-frills restaurant with great food/prices it’s definitely worth trying.

Excellent food. We ordered the creamy bun (hot creamy lightly sweet excellent) bbq pork bun (a little sweet for my taste but still really good fluffy delicious), scallion pancake (could have had more scallion but it was really crispy!), sezchuan chili oil wonton (lightly spicy and numbing really good wonton with the peanut!) the dandan noodles (very nutty delicious noodles) and the Xiao long bao (delicious hot and the ginger was fresh) Was really pleased about the scan to order at the table! Really fast service too. Came in on a rainy cold day, left warm full and happy. Would definitely come back!

This is a hidden gem. Our family ate there for the first time on a Sunday dinner and enjoyed their soup dumpling (Xiao Long Bao), their Shao Mai, orange chicken, and shrimp fried rice. The food appears to be of handmade quality, and come with the right condiments that are readily available. Add on the great service, reasonable prices, and easy parking we look forward to going again.

Wow! Just wow!. Great service. Fresh, beautiful and delicious food. I’m 100% coming back and recommended.

Boiled, stemmed or pan fried options. A highlight for anti-pork eaters….Beef dumplings too!

Easy parking too. Way better than the convoy district!

Gone a couple times and each time the quality seems to get worse which is a bummer because we were looking forward to having a more authentic Chinese restaurant nearby. The first visit we had hope but the followups have been disappointing. So, the inconsistency has a low score. Spicy crispy chicken we enjoy. Beef and broccoli was bland. Green beans were okay. Chow mein and Mongolian beef were good. Dumplings were not good at all.

Food is great, have eaten from here twice, always to-go. String beans are simpler than other places, but they’re still good and I appreciate them not overpowering the other dishes. The spicy crispy chicken is good but feels that the plate comes with more peppers than chicken. Definitely going back.

These dumpling joints are becoming trendy and popping up all over San Diego! Hi Dumplings took over Mr. Spicy and they sell dumplings and traditional dishes.

We ordered:
-cucumber salad
-scallion pancakes
-xiao long bao
-eggplant in brown sauce
-spicy beef noodle soup
-spicy chili wonton
-pan fried pork and shrimp

I love the noodle texture in the beef noodle soup. The xiao long bao are smaller with thin wrapping. I thought it was good but friends said they were previously frozen and not made fresh in house like the chili wonton. Because of that, we didn’t order another tray or try the crab version. The pan fried dumplings had perfect crispy edges and right amount of meat (although I think these were frozen too).

The food was average but has potential to stay because we need this in the neighborhood. If you need a dumpling quick fix, this is the place.
Will be coming back to try other dishes. 3.5 rounding to 4, excellent service.
