I’m very upset with how this place is ran. The staff is very friendly, minus the owner. I’ve heard instances about interactions and issues some of my close friends have dealt with here. Some being completely over the top. I also have dealt with the owner one time and wasn’t happy how he went about my business. I also seen that someone from before had the same issue. I asked for a water because I needed to take an allergy pill, then he asked me if I purchased anything and I simply responded “No”. He then denied me the water and said I needed to buy something first. Which listen I completely understand, and I’m not a cheap person at all and don’t mind spending the money on a drink or something when I want it, but the way he handled it was very unprofessional. Me and the group I come in with almost everyday, buys a decent sum of product from here and even I buy occasionally when I’m in the mood for it. So denying water was a little crazy to me, but it’s whatever. The recent issues finalized my thought on the owner of this establishment. The honest issue of this business isn’t its staff, or product, but the owner, and I hope something changes or he realizes he’s pushing customers away with how he handles his customers.

Hideout has definitely been a favourite of mine for quite a while however whatever y’all have done, keep it up. The vibes are there. Calm, chill and great products. Big improvement in product I might add. Very happy customer. Will definitely be coming back more often.

If you like dive bars but don’t feel like drinking , this is the place to go. Safe and cozy seats, pool table and ambiant lights. Cool rock and country music and most importantly the healthiest refreshing drinks you could have on a Florida sunny day.

I have been to many kava bars in the area around downtown and this is by far the best. Great people and awesome atmosphere. Very chill vibe and you’re welcomed to relax, and there’s no pressure to constantly purchase like most other places. It was very busy (Saturday night around 9:45) and the host still takes her time to make sure you get the best service. The night I was there it was Alexis and she’s so cool and you can see she enjoys doing what she does. I have no doubt this will be my reg spot from now. Thanks to everyone at the hideout. Great job. Highly recommended to check it out.

Honestly, great service all around no matter who’s the kavatender any day. Great space to get some work done as well as meeting some lovely people. My experience over the past couple years has been one of the best. They’ve got the best kratom teas I’ve had in Florida, and their kava is the appropriate strength. I love it here!

Always have a great time here when hanging out with friends or just to study. The employees are always kind and welcoming giving the environment a positive and friendly atmosphere. Definitely my favorite Kava spot.

Owner of this place does not understand the law. I was kicked out today because I am no longer allowed to come with my service animal. Even though people are not allowed to ask for proof, I still have my paperwork handy. There was no interest in having that conversation at all. All the owner kept saying was ‘You let your dog on the furniture multiple times after we told you not to!!! Its on camera!!!’
The health inspector came in a few days ago, and they got in trouble for a lot of things (one of which was dogs running around and on furniture). My dog comes with me on the furniture but stays put and does not run around. That same day, they told me he cannot be on furniture, which I can understand and agreed to abide. The next day, my dog jumped on the couch 2-3 times since he is used to be on the couch. My dog was immediately reprimanded both times, by myself. I owned my part in that to the owner, told him it would never happen again, & also decided that going forward I would place the e-collar on him to guarantee it. But, the owner still decided he is above the law.
There were multiple witnesses to todays event & I have 3 witnesses that are going to be apart of the law suit that I bring to this kava bar.
