I had such a great omakase experience here. The entrance is hidden behind the taco stand restaurant in Wynwood – such a fun and unexpected touch – and you receive a private code with your reservation to get in. The space is small and intimate with just eight seats, which makes the whole meal feel special and interactive. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and delicious, and the hospitality was warm and welcoming. We even met some amazing people at the counter. I would def come back!

One of the best omakase experiences I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was extremely intimate seating a total of about 8 people. The quality of the fish was exceptional fresh, buttery, and expertly prepared. Every course felt intentional and elevated, with the chef’s skill and attention to detail shining through. However the service was just as impressive as the food—attentive, knowledgeable, and warm without being overbearing. This place sets a new standard for both food and hospitality. Absolutely unforgettable and worth every moment.

Hidden Omakase — December 27, 2025
For a fleeting two hours, the outside world disappeared. At Hiden Omakase, we were transported—mentally and spiritually—to Japan, freed from the ordinary worries of life. Tucked discreetly within the vibrant energy of Miami, this intimate sanctuary is a rare gem, one that truly deserves to be written about.
Every element of the experience is meticulously considered: the menu, the pacing, the service, and even the smallest details—right down to the Japanese-style bathroom, a subtle yet telling nod for anyone who has traveled to Japan. Nothing here is accidental.
Chef Seijun Okano, who began his sushi journey at just 14 years old in Japan, brings decades of discipline, mastery, and quiet confidence to the counter. His experience flows effortlessly into each course, resulting in a meal that feels deeply intentional and perfectly curated. Every bite is exquisite—balanced, expressive, and flawlessly executed.
Yes, the experience is a premium one—but so is a flight to Japan. The difference is that here, you achieve the same emotional and culinary transport without enduring a twelve-hour journey. What Hiden Omakase offers is not simply dinner; it is a spiritual and sensory experience—one that will stay with me for a lifetime.
Having visited many omakase restaurants across the United States, I can say with certainty that Hidden stands apart. Chef Okano is warm, welcoming, and engaging, fostering effortless conversation as each course is prepared before your eyes. The service team operates with a quiet precision and grace reminiscent of Japan’s finest establishments—seamless, attentive, and deeply respectful of the craft.
Our deepest gratitude to Chef Seijun Okano; Yair Gaona; sommelier Mika Nasako; and the exceptional team, including Sai Lo and Luis De Jesus. Your dedication, discipline, and thoughtfulness were evident in every moment. This is Michelin-star caliber dining in both spirit and execution.
Chef Okano—should you ever find yourself in Boston, it would be my honor to welcome you into my home for an omakase of my own. You will always be welcome.
Thank you for the unforgettable experience, the meaningful conversations, and the remarkable cuisine. Course after course, the meal was constructed like a warm, exquisite home—brick by brick, memory by memory.
From the bottom of our hearts:
Arigatō gozaimasu.

Where do I start! such a unique experience. located in a speakeasy style at the back of The Taco Stand is this cute hidden sushi bar! With limited seating and reservation required, you have an intimate style dinner with about six others with the chef.
A set course menu we tried a variety of fish. everything tasted as fresh as you could imagine! it was like artwork watching the chef put together each piece of sushi individually prepared for each person. My favorite was the firecracker shrimp and the Uni toast. We started off with complimentary champagne and also had the sake pairing with our Sushi which really elevated our experience. you also have the option to add on caviar to the handle which was definitely worth every penny. The servers, Mika and Luis were super attentive and knowledge, ensuring our servicers were full, and sharing information about each sake pairing. you are a sushi lover this is a must try place. you will not be disappointed.

What can I say? This place was amazing but be prepared to spend a lot of money. From the beginning of the experience, you get a code that opens the door behind the taco restaurant and it’s an extremely small dining area that is comfortable for the amount of people that it serves. It’s definitely an intimate setting, but if you go with a large group, you truly cannot talk to people at the end if you’re on the other end. The service was immaculate Although I do feel like there were periods where I was waiting very long to taste. My next bite the great of sushi was amazing and the addition of the caviar was wonderful. I really have no complaints other than a tad bit of a delay on some of the sushi pieces as well as the seating was not accommodating if you wanted to talk to the rest of your group otherwise it was perfect

Good omakase experience, good service but missing the freshness and innovation on the dishes

I went with my partner to meet this lovely hidden restaurant. I absolutely love the way you need to put the password in order to get inside, very creative. The champagne às reception is also a lovely touch to the experience.

The chefs dishes presentation add into the experience, but the pieces it self were not fresh, excellent executed or innovative. We have tried around 20 plates/pieces during the whole experience and I assume that around 4 should be actually served as the omakase of this super high level experience. The restaurant has everything to grow, just is need better fish and get a side (or innovation, or tradition)

The service was very good and good experience over all

Hiden offers a disciplined, technique-driven omakase that highlights the purity of each ingredient. The fish quality is exceptional, the knife work is precise, and the progression of the menu is thoughtfully arranged. Every bite feels clean and purposeful.

Service is quiet and efficient, matching the minimalist atmosphere of the room. The experience leans heavily on technical execution, and while the quality is undeniable, a few moments lacked the emotional connection that great omakase often provides.

Still, the craftsmanship is clear, and the tasting is beautifully refined. A very strong four-star restaurant.

1 star Michelin Japanese restaurant in trendy Wynwood in Miami. Wonder and luxurious omakase experience in a relaxed setting. Cool place as it’s hidden behind the taco restaurant. Each dish was elegant and delicious/fresh. High quality, presentation, and service were excellent. Sake was amazing also. Loved that you can choose your sake cup.

Reservation is essential and you have to arrive on time. The omakase experience starts promptly at 6pm (Wednesday). You will be eating with 6 other guests as limited seatings. (8 seats in total)

Dinner was expensive ( we expected this though). $$$ please attached receipt.

By far, the most incredible omakase experience from the personal email invite through walking out the door. We came down for a quick trip to Miami from NYC and we love omakase and have had many amazing experiences in NY but nothing yet like this. We cannot say enough about the clean and high quality of the fish, the service, the ambiance and of course the chefs. Watching them create each dish was an experience in itself. Also the sake and wine pairing is a must. Thank you so much for this memory, we look forward to passing on the recommendation to our friends and family!
