Really nice Iowa tavern with ice cold bottled and canned beer and fresh delicious food. Sorry no beer on tap. We had the broasted chicken and a Hodge Podge of fried foods. The oil used to fry the food was pure and fresh. That’s a welcome surprise. My wife’s uncle used to own the place. We will be back again!

What a wonderful place to go! Some of the best food away from home ever!! Comfortable atmosphere, very hospitable staff with excellent service, and always made to feel like you belong there. Not overpriced and very accommodating for special celebrations. There’s an annual Halloween dance with a costume contest, an annual dance the first weekend in March, karaoke nights and so much more!

A little bar in a little town. I don’t go in much anymore but it was always a fun place and the food isn’t bad either bar food. They have a nice outdoor area where you can sit and drink, eat and people are normally always friendly. They have a pool table, pull tab machines as well as a gambling machine or two. TVs to watch the games it’s a pretty large environment so it’s not usually too crowded. If you are from out of town people will turn and stare however, usually with a smile. Just trying to figure out who the new kid on their block is and what you’re doing in their town.
I almost forgot there is a ramp to make it handi- capable. Don’t expect fancy you can definitely come in your work clothes and you’ll be OK. It’s a nice place to go and catch up on gossip .

If you are in Chickasaw county looking for a drink you have to stop at the Hide-A-Way Lounge. They offer a great selection of beer and liquor as well as a good menu. Super good prices and very nice bartenders. We stopped in on pool league night and had a great time with the locals! Sheri is Great!
