Very reasonable prices , and decent bar food. Nice selection of beer and plenty of TV screens to watch sports. Easy in and out with plenty of parking spaces.

What a mess, many things to say.. Me and some family came here for appetizers and ended up being here for much longer than anticipated.

First off, we walk in, and there’s no direction on whether we seat ourselves, or wait to be seated. The 8 tables that were all available were all dirty so we couldn’t even sit down. There was a whole table piled with junk that stayed dirty the entire time we were there actually. We stood around for a good 10-15 minutes waiting for anyone to acknowledge us and my cousin ending up asking a bartender to see if we could have our table wiped down. Another 10 minutes pass by after this and we finally get menus, there was then another too long of wait to get our orders taken.

When we finally got our food, I didn’t even get the crab rangoon I ordered, so I had to put that in again. I’m sure this was just a misunderstanding, however, since our waitress seemed very new. The wait for this second order was again, super long.

The food we got was very hit or miss. Cheese curds were good (just definitely too greasy). The parmesan wings were literally just soaking in non-salted butter and some flecks of parmesan which made them very flavorless. The crab rangoon was the best by far, just wish I got it sooner.

When it came to getting our bill, they weren’t split up properly and one was charged for an extra drink that we never got. We also kept having to ask for things multiple times, like water, napkins, and to-go boxes.

The bathroom wasn’t messy, but two of three stalls in the women’s restroom were broken and the paper towel was all jammed.

I’m sure that most of these problems occurred to the place being severely understaffed. You’d think that there would be more than 2 waiters on a Saturday! Our waitress, again, seemed new so I can’t be upset at her at all. She even got cussed at by other customers as we left, poor girl! I think all these problems can be put on poor management and poor scheduling. This place would have to do a complete turn around to get me and my family to come back in here.

Came here with several friends. The boneless wings, fried pickle spears, sweet potato fries and olive burger were delicious. Topped off with salted caramel dippers and your taste buds will be totally satisfied.

Good food and service. It’d be nice if the business had sufficient amount of staff members

All around horrible experience AGAIN.
I wanted this place to be good. Third time there. First two times food average pizza never cooked.
Today, stood by bar for good 10 monutes. Every worker walked by never made eye contact let alone a welcome. Bar tender never made eye contact after walking by at least 3 times.
This past experience was horrible and made us feel very unwelcome.

The food was great, the service was fabulous, and the atmosphere was just what we needed. We couldn’t believe how wonderful this whole place was very homey and very good.

For the life of me I can’t figure out why I still give this place a chance a few times a year. For several years the food and service has declined significantly. Hit or miss every time you go, either the service is awful but the food is decent or the service is decent but the food is awful. This last and hopefully final time we sat at a table that still had not been cleaned and the previous bill and plates were still present(as with every other open table). We watched the waitresses pass us over and over again. Never even bringing us menus. After 45 minutes of no luck we left. For the last few years I have told my friends and family to go into the hide away with low expectations so they weren’t disappointed, but at this point I will tell everyone I know to steer clear of this place.

My husband and I have been to the Hide A Way several times. We often take visitors from downstate as we know the food is always good. Our go to order is the fish but I had a pizza the last time we were there and it was delicious! The staff are really nice and the of course – the beer is cold.

Amazing place! Don’t pass by if you’re in the area. The food arrived quick and was super delicious. Our server, Lisa, was very friendly with a bit of happy sass. The Sandies drink…mmmmmm…so good! This place has it going on. We’ll definitely be back next time we visit the area.

Comfy but spacious country tavern of stone, taxidermy, and knotty pine. Fair prices, good food.
10 bar seats, many tables, pool table, touchtunes. Nice folks.
