Absolutely the most creative and well executed sushi in Upstate NY! Comparable to sushi places you might find in NY and LA. The prices are actually great considering what you’re getting and it’s really just a few more dollars here and there compared to other sushi places in CNY. Hamachi collar was amazing (glad to even see it on a local menu). I usually try to dig for at least one negative when I give reviews like this but I’m at a loss…

My husband and I had an incredible experience at Hidden Fish in Syracuse. We did the omakase, and every course was unique, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The fish was exceptionally fresh, and each bite felt like a work of art. What really stood out to us, aside from the food, was how accommodating the staff was. We don’t eat meat (only seafood) and don’t drink alcohol, and they were more than happy to tailor the experience for us. They even created custom mocktails, which were just as thoughtful and well-crafted as the rest of the meal. The atmosphere was intimate and refined, perfect for a special evening. We left feeling full, happy, and already looking forward to our next visit.

We loved this place. The atmosphere was modern and minimal but still warm and inviting. The service was great, very attentive without being overbearing.
The sushi was extremely good. Every single piece we tried was fresh and well prepared, but the marinated salmon nigiri and the golden eye were our absolute favorites. Both were rich, buttery and full of flavor.
The drinks menu was another highlight, with plenty of options and some really interesting choices.
Hidden Fish impressed us on every level. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Very impressed with the food quality and atmosphere. The style of the restaurant is tapas so the plates are brought out as soon it’s ready. I enjoy this style but the portions are small.
Great cuts of fish and modern displays/decor. You can see how finely the vegetables are cut in the sushi, it is beautiful! The staff was very friendly and came around multiple times to make sure we were doing alright.

Hidden Fish is a nice little modern atmosphere hidden around a place that really focuses on local charm. The name is apt because we had a difficult time locating the restaurant but made it there on time.
We opted to start off with the buttered muscles followed by a selection of their signature roles and a spicy tuna maki role.
All of our food was fresh and delicious- there was no concerns about quality here. Quiet day for them on a Thursday evening. Our server Patrick was definitely the star of the show making sure we had a fantastic experience along the way.
Very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.
Finished off the meal with both dessert options mochi and yuzu sorbet. Of the two the yuzu sorbet was the standout for me.
I’ve heard mixed reviews about this place but really wanted to check it out myself. The food is stellar, but priced to be upscale.
I wish there was little more menu variety. The one vegetarian role was good but a little on the blander side.
I think on a Friday or Saturday I’d avoid this space due to how full I imagine it gets but for a week day, amazing vibes!

This place is amazing!! Our waitress, Nevi was so attentive and sweet, she answered all of our questions and made helpful recommendations. The food was SO good. The crispy tuna roll was my favorite part of the meal. I can’t wait to come back and think everyone should check it out, you won’t be disappointed! Best sushi in the CNY area BY FAR.

We stopped in after hiking and wanted to check out a new place. Feeling underdressed our server made us feel comfortable and helped us pick our cocktails from their new fall menu. We ordered 4 rolls and some sushimi. Everything was excellent. We can’t wait to come back.

What a fantastic experience. This place is a true hidden gem. Quickly discovered why it’s called “hidden” fish as it’s tucked away from the main stretch. It’s very quaint and relaxing. Dined in the outdoor patio with an amazing and knowledgeable wait staff taking care of our every need. They were able to answer all our questions and we even tried a snapper fish flight – chefs recommendations. Will return for sure!

Great service, the waitress was so kind. We booked reservations a month in advance to try the sushi and we were notified a week before that our reservation was going to be a fixed menu instead. The menu really was not worth the $75 per person and was extremely below average.
