This is a family owned business with big southern flavor! The oversized dinners are priced very reasonable! The food is awesome! Dustin (chef) and Amy (server) took great care of mom and I. They have an outside dining area also…. you can’t go wrong with this restaurant!

Awesome food! Catfish (nuggets) basket, great price, and I really liked the outside patio area. I want to visit at night there’s a stage not sure if there’s entertainment though.
PS: management or owner of the condiments ( salt & pepper shakers ) really should be wiped clean every shift or day, myself wouldn’t use dirty and sticky and it can hurt business in the long run.

We had the catfish lunch specials adding coleslaw $2.99 which was soso & Seafood rice $8.99 which could have used more flavor. While the catfish was very good.
We thought the sides would be larger especially the Seafood rice, for what they cost. My husband said they could’ve least gave us a kiss after doing us like that. Needless to say, won’t order sides again. Catfish was good though.

Small restaurant with a nice atmosphere and service. I tried the fried fish (catfish) and jumbo shrimp platter, with lime and pepper dressing. The shrimp with the lime dressing was good, however the catfish not so much, I think next time I will try tilapia or cod. I recommend the place, even for having a drink at the small bar.

The food was hot and seasoned well. Very relaxing with a family, homestyle backyard vibe. It has a mix of sports bar and back yard party vibes. It really felt like I was at a family backyard seafood dinner. The staff and owner were very friendly. I have definitely found my new local seafood spot!

I made the decision to try out this place on a Friday. The food turned out to be a tad salty and there was a slight delay in getting our order ready, even though we had called ahead. However, given that they are a new establishment, I am open to giving them another opportunity.

I have been to Hicks twice and Im glad I went back. The food was hot and fresh. I thought the catfish sandwich was really good. Everyone’s plate came out hot. Took a while but worth the wait.

There seafood is delicious! Some of the fish I’ve never even heard of. Prices are very fair for what you’re getting. The staff was great! A one man army! Will definitely come back with more friends and family.
