We had a fantastic experience at Hickory’s Smokehouse in Lincoln.
The restaurant has a very fun, welcoming, and family-friendly atmosphere, which made it easy for us to relax. The food was really good and there were plenty of options on the menu for both adults and children, which made ordering easy for everyone. Everything we tried was tasty and well prepared. What truly stood out was the service – the staff were friendly, & attentive, making the overall experience even better.
This is a great spot for families looking for delicious food, excellent service, and a fun dining experience.

We had a really enjoyable visit to Hickory’s in Lincoln. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the friendly service made us feel right at home. They started off with a bag of complementary sweet and salty popcorn. The food was absolutely delicious — the kids especially loved their popcorn chicken.
One of the standout moments was the s’mores. They were a lot of fun to make and came with a little campfire — great theatre and a really memorable touch. I finished with an alcoholic milkshake for dessert, and it was the perfect sweet treat to end the meal — creamy, indulgent, and so tasty.
Overall, a great spot for families with a lively vibe, great food, and fun touches that make the experience special. We’ll definitely be back!

This was a last minute decision to visit Hickory’s with my partner and, boy ‘o’ boy, what a great place.
The girl on the front desk explained that they were fully booked, but we could wait at the bar and there would probably be a table within 50 minutes (we actually only waited about 10 minutes ).
We were sat at the bar, watching the food being excellently prepared, by an incredible tight knit team, who were brilliant to watch.
Our waitress (an absolute gorgeous young 19 year old girl called ELLE -PD!), came across and offered a little taster of the brisket…. OMG… to die for (please try th brisket with bourbon gravy)….
The food we ordered, arrived-promptly, it was well prepared and looked fantastic, I’d simply give the whole meal a 10 out of 10.
The place, the ambience, the vibe…. I’d also, give 10 out of 10.
The service, I can only rate higher (if possible!!), in particular our lovely waitress, Elle-PD, for her knowledge, passion and thanks to her for making this a worthwhile visit…..!!!!

I am writing this review to highlight a complete 180-degree turn in our experience at Hickory’s Lincoln.
The Previous Experience
Our last visit was a disaster that ruined my daughter’s birthday. The General Manager, Mike, was incredibly dismissive and showed zero empathy. While the entire bill was struck off because of how badly things went, the lack of care from management left a sour taste in our mouths and we weren’t sure we would ever return.
Tonight: A Masterclass in Service
Tonight, Nicole and her team completely restored our faith in this company. They brought back that “home feeling” where you feel like a guest rather than just a table number.
What was most impressive was the environment they were working in. There were more than 10 birthdays happening simultaneously while we dined, yet Nicole and her team handled it flawlessly. They managed to:
Make our personal requests their highest priority.
Maintain a high level of attention without compromising the experience for other guests.
Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere despite the restaurant being incredibly busy.
Nicole and her team are the reason we will be coming back. They proved that personal service and genuine care still exist here, even if the General Manager failed to show it previously.

This was our first time visiting this establishment. Very atmospheric. Beautiful. Different waiters served us, which made it uncomfortable to explain what we wanted. As for the food, the burger was simply wonderful. We also ordered a large meat platter. We didn’t like all of the meat. We were surprised that the tough part of the ribs wasn’t removed before cooking. But still, this platter is very filling.

Great restaurant with authentic BBQ food, great theming, a cinema to keep the kids occupied, and friendly and welcoming staff.
On arrival a member of staff took me to find my friends and made sure I knew the location of key parts of the restaurant. Food was really good and came promptly. And they brought my friend a custom birthday treat. All in all I’m super impressed with this chain!

I’ve been to a fair few hickory’s up the country and this is up there with one of the best! Really good friendly welcome, grape soda was on point as always, we had frickles and corn dogs for starters and they were so tasty! We couldn’t decide which meat to go for so we went for the sharing platter which was amazing as always good generous portions and cooked to perfection. Will definitely be returning very soon edit 01/01/26 returned a week or so ago for the boys birthday and once again everything was spot on and with it being late December it was busy with Christmas parties and get togethers but they coped perfectly and as always the food was amazing and the service matched it! I think I’ve found my favourite hickory’s and I’ve been in a fair few !

I took my family out to celebrate a birthday. I was feeling well so I went on crutches. It would have been just as easy in my wheelchair though. Very accessible. Service was fast and friendly, perhaps a little too fast. Our food arrived quickly and piping hot. Served on skillets and trays it all had a good smokehouse grill atmosphere. The portions seemed a little modest at first glance but it’s mostly meat so no one went hungry. The meal ended with a birthday surprise with a doughnut and sparkles which was great.
The food is good but not great but kinda what you would expect. Its a carnivores dream so not many veggie options.
It was the culinary equivalent of a fairground ride, really bright and exciting, but nothing you would want to do often. Great for a family treat. As for value for money, you pay alot for the atmosphere, it’s a bit pricy. Also, true to the American way, they take a tip rather than be given one. I didn’t mind I would have tipped anyway but it was a bit pushy.
They had a good accessible toilet which was properly equipped and clean.

Attended as a group of 7. We were taken to a very large impressive table. Very authentic vibe, a really good atmosphere. Slightly slow delivering orders to the table, but attentive when checked about it. The place was full though. The food was good but the coleslaw was not to my liking or any of our guests. Slightly on the expensive side.Our waitress Aleisha was superb. Such a nice person, quite happy to have some fun banter with us. Very impressed with Aleisha and the member of staff checking allergies.
