Tonight was a little slow. Okay, let’s say it was extremely slow. The waitress did an excellent job tonight. Their was only one waitress that I seen the whole night while I was there. She had a party table and five other tables beside our table. She was nice and kept our refilled coming.
When we got there we had to wait about 10 mins to be seated. Another 10 minutes for the server to come to our table to take our drink order. We both ordered sweet tea.
If you don’t have patience I pretty sure you didn’t want to be at this restaurant. I wasn’t going to leave because I was hungry and it was already late. The way she was coming and going to each table to get your order was fantastic. It didn’t take long for the food to come.
I ordered 6 charred chicken wings with honey bee sauce and toasted quesadillas. The wings was delicious something I never had before and I’ve been to this place a lot. The quesadilla was good just a little greasy. Everything came out fresh and piping hot.
My company order 8 charred wings with a side. jerk was the sauce and warm biscuits.

Vinny was an absolutely fantastic host! We were visiting from DC for an Army boot camp graduation, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate. From the moment we walked in, Vinny was engaging, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. He made us feel completely at home — as if we were longtime friends rather than visitors.

Essence our server was a delight. Her customer service was excellent. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was excellent. I hadn’t been here in years but am glad I came back and will return again. The Brussel sprouts were the best I’ve ever had. A must try. The pow pow shrimp were cooked perfectly. The chicken quesadillas are my daughter’s absolute favorite.

This place is awesome. They something for everyone. This is the second time we have eaten here. I love their nachos and have gotten them both times. My husband has had the Ruben and this trip a Mushrooms and Onion Burger. Delicious. The food cane out hot and fresh. Nothing bad to say here. Our server was prompt, kind and courteous. The prices are very good. They do tend to be very busy if there is a game in town but they are worth the wait.

Hickory Tavern was a great selection for their selection of draft beers. The pulled pork sandwich was great and perfectly cooked. They had a kids menu and plenty of giant TVs to watch whatever game might be on. Omaryan our server was phenomenal. They were excellent in professionalism and kindness and still quick with our food and drink orders. Omaryan is the reason the restaurant gets 5 stars.

Hickory Tavern was pretty good. Now, I’m grading it on a curve because there’s not a lot of great sports bars in Columbia.
Hickory Tavern seems like a relatively good place to grab a beer and watch some sporting events. While I was impressed with the selection of beers, the food was a little expensive as compared to the actual quality of it.
The bartender was pretty cool, but if I had to nitpick, the bar surface was wet and I had to ask for a paper towel to wipe it down before I sat down.
All-in-all, Hickory Tavern is a solid, but relatively unspectacular local sports bar, but one that I would recommend, as it’s probably the best option for this type of bar in the area.

We ordered online said 10 minutes wait. We got there and took another 30 minutes to get our food. Doing that time my gf said the gentleman host out front was super incompetent and rude. Got home with the food for it all to be cold and got the wrong side on my gf dish. I got bbq nachos($15) just for it to have 1 small bit of bbq and small amount of bbq sauce and cheese. Just sad second time the wait took twice as long as it says online. Waiting to hear back from corporate about a refund.

Nice restaurant with plenty of seating inside and outside and rooftop. Our waitress was nice and helpful. Restaurant is clean through out. Bathroom was clean and stocked up. Food came out in reasonable amount of time. Lots to choose from on the menu. The Carolina cheese steak was huge and delicious. Cole slaw is really good and love the Tavern Chips. Tea was delicious. Good service, good food and a nice atmosphere with plenty of TV’s to watch the game on.
