I travel here often and stay at the Marriott Courtyard and Residence Inn both in one building, and only 0.1 miles from the spot. When you visit, I highly recommend sitting at the bar and asking for “Big Al” and “JoJo”. The entire staff is great, and Malcolm, the bar manager, is also fantastic and supports the bar team and customers!
This is a highly recommended spot with excellent food and a wonderful atmosphere. It has many regulars and is a great time all around.

I came here last night to celebrate my birthday. Our waitress’s name was Rachel. She was very sweet and my best friend told her it was my birthday. She insisted that we stay until 9 for the dj which was very nice and had a decent selection of music. The dj also sang happy birthday to me! The food and her hospitality was excellent! Left a nice tip and will be back!

I have been coming here since they first open this location. Always a great place to watch sports.
Really anything on the menu is good. Recently had the fish and Chips. Huge portion. Batter based . Would get it again.
Of course the wings are always consistent.

After a long day out in the heat exploring and hiking around the state,with family from out of town, we had returned to my sister’s hotel which was only 2 minutes away. We asked my niece and nephew where they would like to grab a quick bite before we all settled in for the night. They chose Hickory Tavern. Once we got there we were greeted and seated promptly. Our server came out and got our drink order and we started with some croissants and chili. My wife ordered the Chicken Caprese, she really enjoyed it. I had the special Blackened Salmon Summer Salad. It was huge. I really liked the mixed blend of lettuces and ingredients, very refreshing after a long day in the sun. The kids got Cheeseburgers and my sister ordered the Ribeye. She had gotten a side salad but ordered the wrong one. When she asked if she could exchange for a Caesar Salad the staff accommodated immediately. My family was very happy and said next time here they want to come back to try some other items. See you soon

We literally had the best experience ever. Such sweet girls working together to make sure we were taken care of. Nya, I think the manager, made sure we were taken care of and even suggested several fun things for us to do while visiting Charlotte. Love her. 10/10 recommend, and we will absolutely be back. Food is amazing also.

Our server was amazing.l! She had the best attitude! Valentine’s Day was looking a little grim with 60 minute wait at other local restaurants. We’re called & found no wait. A miracle on Saturday night Valentine’s Day. We at so glad that the other choices were booked up. We prefer Hickory Tavern. Recommend, for sure!!

We came as a family of 5 the other night as I wanted to take my kids out to eat since they r always working and they all happened to have off.
The server was great and so sweet but the food was not good.
I got a Reuben with no sauerkraut but loaded with dressing. I had to ask for a side of the sauerkraut. The cheesesteaks were both very dry. It was disappointing. I have been there many times but this last time was just not good. It was not very busy so I’m not sure what the deal was. My son got a chicken sandwich which was ok he said but just ok.
Our waiter was fantastic though and I think felt so bad with everyone coming out wrong and not good. We made sure to tip him well as I didn’t want him to feel he provided a bad experience.

Tasty Shrimp & Grits! All the food was delicious. Good Customer Service, there was not a long wait on food, and Hot when served. My arrival time allowed every thing else to work out. Plenty of space, not too crowded upon arrival at 8pm on New Years Eve of 2024. Then around 10pm, there were plenty of people. Great place to watch the games with friends.

Went to Hickory Tavern to celebrate my birthday and it was a huge disappointment. The bartender had a nasty attitude from the start and made the whole experience uncomfortable. What was supposed to be a fun night turned into us leaving after just one drink. Customer service really makes or breaks a place, and this was not it. Definitely won’t be returning.
