Best chopped beef baker all the way. Jumbo and Yummy! We do mostly to go pick up. When we get home everything is delicious don’t need to add anything to the food. Service is wonderful. Always friendly and consistent. Y’all are perfect! Have a blessed day!

Texas BBQ consists of 3 elements. Meat, sauce and sides. The meat I ordered was sausage and sliced brisket, I’m not 100% the sausage was store bought, or homemade and just severely over cooked. I’ve never spit out brisket before, but 2 pieces were at the point I couldn’t chew them enough to swallow it. The sauce was sweet baby rays, and I got that at home. For sides I got beans and onion rings. The onion rings were good, like Sonics, or any other diner..I will say the beans were definitely homemade, but sweeter than my Milos sweet tea (no it wasn’t in a Milos container). The chopped chicken was again sweet baby rays, I’m only 50% sure it wasn’t Lloyds, only 50% sure because there was more gristel and fat than a tub of Lloyds. Nooornally I would give a place a second chance, get a loaded potato or burger, but I got Lloyds and sweet baby rays at home. $45 and 35 min to order a to go plate and sandwich later, I think I’ll see what else cold spring has to offer. I think I saw a subway.

Delicious, this is the best bbq ribs and sausage and okra we have ever had! The bacon cheeseburger is also good and huge! But the bbq is the best and homemade sweet potato pie!

10/10 ALL AROUND!! I got a chopped beef sandwich and fried mushrooms… Yall… That beef was smoky, that sauce was savory and the veggies were fresh and delicious. Not to mention how perfect the mushrooms were fried, served with homemade ranch!!
Ms. Lisa is so sweet and friendly, and she gave me the best recommendation, she really wanted us to have a good experience. And to top it off they played good music while we ate!

This place is somehow 4.8 stars with amazing ribs???? DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I do not usually write reviews, but this one has got to get knocked down. So bad they should have paid me to eat it. It truly deserves zero stars. Ribs and sliced beef were warmed up in a microwave. Dry, disgusting, grey in color, with a flavor like it had been stored with coals in their fridge had to be thrown out. Wasted my money stopping here, hope you do not do the same.

I would usually rate the Hickory Pit a 4.5 however the last couple of times I’ve bought the Loaded Baked Potatoes instead of Brisket on top I’ve gotten fat & gristle. Every time we go, its $31… So its not like a cheap lil plate. Over half of my “meat” topping was fat and unedible, it was the same with my husbands but he just threw his out. I hope they will take this and stop doing because I really do love this place.

My granddaughters and I stopped in for dinner. My goodness was the brisket sandwich yummy. The BEST bar-b-q I have had in years! It was almost a shame to put it in a sandwich. The entire staff and other customers were so friendly and made us feel at home. We all, including my grandbabies, visited the whole time we were there. We will definitely be going back and telling all of our friends about them. Thank you all for making us feel so welcome.
