We decided to try a new restaurant tucked away in the Westminster area. Made online reservations and drove thru a bunch of traffic cones to get there. Once there, the ambiance outside looked very romantic. Cold night, lit up trees, fireplace in the center of a turnaround. The restaurant was nice, although it looks like they cater more to business people. Initially it appears kind of bougie but the wait staff is friendly and accommodating. The menu online is not the current menu so don’t set your hearts on it. Ordered two salads and two entrees. Everything was outstanding, the steak sauce was very flavorful but not overpowering. Sides were ala carte. The salmon and pumpkin risotto was fantastic. They have a wine menu with more selections then their food menu so we just had water. Its very pricey so be prepared. Spent about $160 with 15% tip. I highly recommend you visit but it may not be an every weekend hangout.

Went to their most recent tasting menu with wine. Listen!! The food was so good and the wine pairing was immaculate. There’s a Whiskey & Wine coming soon, I hope I’m able to attend. So many people came to the great food, wine, and conversation was amazing. The only negative was no room for intimate conversation if you’re planning a private quiet experience. You’ll be right next to others at a long table, unless the format changes. Is not a knock, it’s just so you know what not to expect if you attend a tasting event. But the other part of the restaurant was great and I’m sure will satisfy your desires, whether business or pleasure.

My partner and I had an excellent experience at Hickory & Ash. Our waiter was Evan who served with great customer service and met all our needs.
We had the delicious lamb shank, beef tartare and lobster bisque. Everything was absolutely perfect. The restaurant is so cozy and the decorations match the ambience. We will certainly be back and would 10/10 recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Our favorite restraunt in the North area. This was for my wife’s birthday as she loves this place. Our server Heather was amazing and attentive. My wife had the steak frites (fries were THE BEST FRIES EVER). I had the lobster bisque soup (lots of lobster) and the sesame glazed chicken which was a nice change. Usually I get the steaks which have always been great. The Pomegranate Cheese Cake WOW!

Dave was amazing at the bar!
Really enjoyed our cocktails and food. We came in without a reservation and were offered to sit at the bar. So glad we did. He makes amazing drinks and was wonderful to talk to. If you’re thinking about trying I encourage you to belly up at the bar.
Food was wonderful – we will be back

I had become very disappointed with this restaurant a few years ago but decided to give them another chance and glad I did. I had the salmon and it was delicious. Salad a little too wet with dressing but still good. I will be back!

Stopped in on a random Saturday night. Super busy. I waited. And it was worth it. Tristan at the bar made one of the best Old Fashioneds I have ever had. The double double burger was excellent, messy, but excellent. Overall a great experience.

First time out at Hickory & Ash. This spot has a great vibe on the inside. I found the place to be well decorated and everyone was friendly. I would say that all of the food was good, maybe a few things they could improve on. They provided sourdough bread for the table, the butter was great, the bread was a bit dry and 5/10. For our appetizer we started with the braised meatballs, great flavor and excellent with polenta 8.5/10. We also tried the carrot cashew dip with grilled pita. The pita was excellent and they were nice enough to bring us more. The dip was very good, had reminded me of a mild peanut butter and jelly 7.9/10. We split the wedge salad, pretty straight forward, no thrills, a little on the plain side – but everything you would hope for a good salad 7/10. It felt like we waited a very long time for our entrees to come out, close to 30 minutes after we ordered. The braised short rib with cheddar polenta was alright, it lacked a lot of flavor. Everything on the plate was cooked well, however two small pieces of short rib which needed better seasoning 6.5/10. The stand out dish was the bourbon & coke pork chop, well cooked and had a great flavor. I personally thought the cabbage that they served it with would have been much better if it was not served cold. 8.5/10 on the dish as a whole as the pork was a little undercooked. We also got the charred baby carrots 8/10 and the triple cooked fries which were pretty good 8.1/10. We finished up with a matcha cheesecake which was a great way to finish a meal 8/10.
I look forward to coming back and trying more of the menu. The place appeared to have a nice amount of people for a snowy Tuesday evening.

Wanted to do something new for my birthday and I’ve heard good things of this place. We went on a Saturday night and it was a fun atmosphere, even though it was packed and busy. The food was really good. We got a lamb shank and a root beer glazed pork chop, and they were both so good and unique. I would definitely return here again. The service was great, our waiter made sure we were very comfortable, and shared some good recommendations with us. Overall, I was very pleased.

Had dinner here with a co-worker and his wife. The decor was very nice. The food seemed a bit fancy for the decor, but it was nice to get French inspired food in a casual place. Love the deconstructed Chicken and Dumplings as well as the Mac and Cheese. I will return here again for sure.
