Our cook name was Matt!!! He was an amazing cook! By far the best hibachi food I’ve ever eaten. He wasn’t gr8 entertaining us, but his food made up for ALL OF IT! Our server left her shift during our dining experience, so i can’t really give any expression of the service. But I must add that we were charged Gratituity for a family of 4 when it clearly stated 6 or more. It was addressed and adjusted. Be sure to review your receipt.

My hubby and I were vacationing in Erie, PA. and wanted a decent place that served alcohol with dinner. The host quoted a 45 minute wait but we only waited 20 minutes. The two of joined a party of 6 and had an enjoyable meal. Good food. Price was reasonable. It was a little low on lighting but I’d rather have low lights than bright ones for our Anniversary dinner.

First time at Hibachi on 12th Street. The restaurant was nice and clean. Had about a 15 minute wait from our original reservation. But it was busy. The host was very nice and sat us as soon as our table was ready. Our server Diana greeted us but I could barely hear what she was saying because it was a little loud. She must of not been on her game tonight because everything from the drinks (waited at least 20 minutes for bar drinks) to the soup and salad took longer than expected. I understand that bars get backed up but i literally walked up to the bar and asked for my own drinks. Our chef Matt was wonderful and put on a fantastic display. At the end of his cooking/performance I tipped him for the great job he did. At the end of our meal the server was no where to be found so I grabbed to go boxes for my party myself. I had to look for our server to get our check and she informed me that she has to split her tips with the chef. Over all the restaurant, the chef and the food was excellent but the service was not up to par.

Nervous when we walked in during the dinner hour on a Friday and it was empty & quiet. Service was good, our cook was very nice. Food wasn’t bad but could use a little more flavor. But our cook said he was kinda new.

This place has gone downhill in the past few years. The service was fine but our food was very lackluster. An important part of the hibachi experience is being entertained by the chef. Our chef was brand new and it was obvious. I don’t fault the kid because he is new and very inexperienced, but he messed up our order and the food was very bland. He barely spoke to us and was low energy. The place overall is looking quite dingy. We probably won’t be back anytime soon.

Our server sucked. She screwed up the order at every turn, then forced an 18% gratuity on us, and to top it off, the food wasn’t all that good (not saying the food was terrible, but in conjunction with everything else, probably will not be on our return to list). On a positive note, the chef was cool and really livened the atmosphere.

Seems like the restaurant is under new ownership..maybe not, but in the past, we would receive a ton of fresh vegetables to be cooked by the chef. During this visit, our party consisted of five people. There was a mediocre amout divided between each of us.. very chinsy.
