I was really craving lobster, so I ordered a dish that featured it. The menu listed the price as $42 for a lobster tail, rice, and broccoli—without a drink. However, when it came time to pay, the total was $57. Even accounting for taxes, I couldn’t understand how the bill reached that amount.

$57 feels like a price you’d expect at a fine-dining restaurant. My question is: why is a place that brands itself as affordable dining charging such a high price for a single dish?

To be fair, the food was delicious—the lobster, rice, and broccoli were all very good. But that doesn’t change the fact that the price feels excessive. For price-to-quality, I’d give it a 3 out of 5.

P.S. The next day, I went to great restaurant and ordered a meal that included a lobster tail and filet mignon with sides for less—about $50. How does that make sense?

Stumbled upon this place after getting off our cruise. We will be back! The service was awesome. The vibes were high, and the food was delicious. The chef even thanked us for the high praise. The staff offered samples and gave us some history on how they got started. They need better street advertising, but IYKYK. Look for the sign and follow the vibes. You won’t be sorry.

First the cashier was extremely nice but for the price the food was dry. Chicken dry, scallops dry.. If you’re gonna charge those prices then the chicken should not be overcooked… Established clean and ppl nice but was really mad about the food being overcooked.

We were welcomed by the new manager-She who was helpful with our order choices. We had the big hibachi and it was worth it. Thanks for the great expérience. She promised to look into changing the plastic forks

This restaurant is overpriced, they don’t tell you about the additional 18% service charge before you pay for your food, and the music inside and outside is very loud. My wife got fried chicken and rice and ordered extra shrimp, and for a whole $7.50 (the price of the chicken and rice itself) they gave her like 6 pieces of shrimp. The waffle I got was pretty good, but the rice we both ordered was a very small portion for the price, and we did not stay for very long after finishing our food. Hibachi House is a Black owned business and for that reason alone I hope it survives the ever-changing restaurant climate and has a long relationship with the South Beach community.

A nice hidden gem on South Beach. Place has inside and outside dining. There is a ramp on the other side for handicap accessible.

There were so many great options for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

I opted for the Salmon Patties and veggie fried rice pictured below.

They were not like mom made them, but fresh, hot, and not overly seasoned.

I’d probably opt for their Hibachi Options as they’re more popular and not taste specific.

The gentleman at the register was patient, helpful, and very courteous.

I’d definitely visit again, and try other options.

Had the shrimp tacos and I was stuffed. Good food, good service. I felt right at home being a tourist. I would absolutely suggest this place for a quick meal.

Tried this new place while visiting in Miami. Food was good. Ordered the chicken, steak, and shrimp with white rice. Almost similar to Benihana prices. About $60 for this meal. It was a good portion for two people. Might not look like a lot but it was enough. Definitely recommend!
