I have gone to Hibachi many times since I moved to Jackson 3 years ago and every time I leave satisfied and a little overfull since I want to have all of my favorites and Hibachi has all of variety.
Service is quick and polite at the door with pricing clearly displayed (I was able to get the dinner buffet for myself for just over $15 with a water for a drink). Interior is spacious with boothes and tables plus a separate room which appears to be mainly used for very large groups or parties. Decor is what you’d expect if you’ve ever been in any Chinese buffet before.
Food selection is very good during lunch or dinner but the dinner selection has more seafood options and there are plenty of them from shrimp to fish to fried scallops and even one dish I believe has crayfish in it. Rest of the general buffet selection involves mostly chicken dishes, dumplings, egg rolls, soups, and a whole section for desserts.
What makes Hibachi unique is the sushi bar off to the side with a selection of the most common sushi rolls (California and Philadelphia) and some more exotic ones like spicy tuna. They also have tuna, yellowtail and mackerel nigiri.
They also have a Hibachi grill, as it is the namesake of the store, but I have never used it before. The selection of raw ingredients is plentiful though and a fair number of people use it each time I am there.
Finally, for those on the go, they do offer takeout boxes and have pricing for them on the wall and I believe you can also ask for a menu for the space at the front desk.
Overall, great service, great price (considering a combo meal of burger, fries and a drink is approaching the same $15 I spent for all i could eat), and a great selection with tasty food. Can’t say I’ve ever been disappointed in how anything has been prepared in the multiple times I’ve been here. I do recommend the evening menu that starts at 4 (I think) but the lunch menu is good for a bite to eat too.

Food is decent but the service is terrible. The waitress literally stands by your table and watches you eat and makes you feel like you have to rush. Then while my twins were eating their ice cream the waitress abruptly grabs the plates and storms off. She acted as if we were overstaying our welcome. I even asked if they could just take their ice cream home and she said I had to pay a dollar extra. I’m pretty sure they can’t double charge you. Just avoid this place.

First time being at a Hibachi Grill and Buffet in Michigan. Amazing buffet and sushi selections. Definitely will be coming back. Try to make it by 11 AM on Sundays to not be part of the lunch rush!

Some of the food was really good. Service was great. Some of the dishes sat out a bit too long, but this seems to be common at all buffets as theyre reluctant to waste food. Its understandable but if its not edible it just gets wasted anyways. I will say some of the dishes were way better than other asian buffets we’ve tried. Overrall liked the experience and will be back.

My husband and I went here to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. The food itself was okay, some items were cold, but the hibachi was hot and tasty. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by the way we were treated.
While we were still eating, our waitress brought the bill, which was fine, but within seconds she came back, touched the bill, and said “Pay!” We noticed other guests who arrived before us were not asked to pay while still eating. My husband went ahead and paid, but before he could even sign the receipt, the waitress returned, scowled, and yelled “Sign!”
It was extremely uncomfortable and embarrassing. We’ve been here before and had a good experience, so this was disappointing and confusing. We couldn’t help but wonder why we were treated differently, especially since no one else in the restaurant looked like us. Even our daughter asked if the waitress was mad at us, that’s how tense the moment felt.

I love how quiet and cozy it is here. There are a lot of different options for food and everything is tasty. They’re good about keeping fresh food coming out. The staff is friendly and the prices are very fair.

Well to start every time we order from her the soda is always watered down of syrup being almost gone. The tables are a hit or miss some days might get a dirty or half ass clean one. Food is okay for the price. They have a good selection and are on top of removing empty dishes. Staff seem alright

Although the buffet is not the best cooked and tasteful (e.g., chicken broccoli and beef), I think it is still worth 5 stars. It has wide selection of food including hibachi grills and decent sushi. The restaurant is clean and the booth is the most spacious I ever had. You can fit four people on one side of table! The price is very reasonable for the food they offer.

Great for a buffet style Chinese restaurant. Everything we had was fresh and they kept everything cycling rather quickly. There is a pretty wide spread with lots of diverse dishes for everyone to enjoy. They also somehow managed to fix the problem that a lot of tear places have with pork skewers. They’re usually tough and dry but here they were juicy, tender, and crunchy. Also, the weight staff was fast, efficient, and very friendly.

Your average super buffet but the staff are so nice. I always and greeted with a smile and my daughter loves it here. Delicious sushi bar and hibachi grill. Staff are polite and patient and ready to help at any chance. Great place.
A few times food wasn’t always fresh and desert sometimes tastes like the smell of someones refrigerator but aside from that great overall experience.
