Hibachi Grill Asian Buffet: Experience Unmatched Flavor in Seneca
Hibachi & Grill Asian Buffet, 364 Market St, Seneca, SC 29678, US
Reviews
Firstly, the quality of the food was underwhelming. Many of the buffet items seemed to have been sitting out for a while, resulting in a lack of freshness. The sushi selection was limited and didn’t taste particularly vibrant. As for the grill and hibachi ingredients, some of the meats and vegetables appeared less than appealing.
Cleanliness was also a concern. Certain areas of the buffet looked messy, with spilled food that hadn’t been promptly cleaned up. This detracted significantly from the overall dining environment.
Furthermore, the service was lackluster. It was difficult to get the attention of the staff, and drink refills were slow. The hibachi chef, while performing the basic cooking, lacked any real enthusiasm or interaction with the diners.
Overall, Asian Hibachi and Grill Buffet did not live up to expectations. The subpar food quality, cleanliness issues, and inattentive service made for a less than enjoyable dining experience. I would likely not choose to dine here again.
Other things did not have good flavor. Crab ragoons were more mayonnaise than any cream cheese….nasty. the chicken on a stick and crispy fried shrimp was the best items, flowed by the jello. Wanton soup was good! I wouldn’t go back tho i would try another spot if nearby.
Visited here for dinner with a kind elderly neighbor. I normally don’t come here due to the lack of gluten-free options, but we decided to give it a try. The waitress was sweet and used a translation app to better understand my gluten-free concerns. She ended up calling her sister, who explained that most of the food is prepackaged, and my only real option was the hibachi grill. I was given a plastic plate to weigh my food for pricing.
Unfortunately, the experience at the grill was disappointing. The cook didn’t seem very friendly, wore an earpiece the entire time, and didn’t properly clean the grill before preparing my meal. He wasn’t wearing gloves, and despite my request for fresh noodles due to cross-contact concerns on the bar, he went ahead and mixed in what was already out there. I tried to stop him, but he couldn’t hear me.
To make matters worse, the 82-year-old man I was with, who barely had $5 worth of food, was charged full buffet price. When I brought it up, the cashier told me he should’ve said something before getting his food something that should be communicated ahead of time, not after the fact when it’s time to pay.
All in all, this visit was disappointing and I hope they take some of this feedback into consideration.
However, the food is average at best,.and the service is not great. Manager (who doesn’t speak English as good as you would like) harassed me about my service dog (I’m a disabled veteran). I had to ask someone to clean the table before I sat down, because it was sticky. Probably won’t come back.
