I was in Torrington shopping and wanted Sushi. I googled and found good reviews. They do a lot of take out. I stayed and the sushi is excellent as others mention. I was very hungry and ordered fried rice and it too was excellent. It was a serving for more than one but I gobbled it down. I am from Bethlehem and “see” what locals are saying about it being their place for Sushi. It was cold that night and had some steamy hot tea with my meal. Need to go back with my wife and daughter. Not fancy but really great food.

Love this place! My partner and I love going here and whenever anyone wants sushi this is the spot we order from. They’re always so nice and the pricing is great for how good the food is. We even got a valentines spread as our special dinner.

First time I’ve been here. Most everything was excellent. Amongst things I had was a hibachi combo with broccoli. The sauce was a little “too much” in terms of thickness/sweetness/quantity, but not bad. I requested the broccoli to be cooked soft and it came out excellent ! (Thanks)

My favorite place to get sushi in town. Your order comes out pretty quick and the service has always been great, the lady that works at the counter is especially friendly. I typically get take out but if you’re looking to dine in you shouldn’t have trouble finding a table as I’ve never seen the place very busy.

This place has won my loyalty for Sushi Rolls. I regularly come late at night and get the Atlanta Roll deep fried. The food here has soul and is rich in flavor. It’s always amazing. I tried another sushi place near the Taco Bell here in town that looks fancy but doesn’t compare in the quality and savor of the food here. For those who value the quality of food this is the only place in Torrington I will go for Sushi and Japanese cuisine.

Ehhh overall: not in the slightest but was kinda expected judging the cover of this particular novella.
Hoping for fast casual japanese along the lines you find in most mall food courts but instead what I was served was some really midsy chinese style bamboozlery.
That was not hibachi style and the sauce was definitely thickened w/corn starch….and the eggroll left much to be desired.
This your basic burbs takeout spot just don’t go expecting something else

Best sushi in Torrington and I would go so far as to say, best within 45 mins of the area in all directions that I am aware of. It is family owned by a Hibachi artist, his amazingly sweet wife, and their growing son. I have a sensitive stomach and WILL get sick if something is off. I ordered SEAFOOD from here plenty of times and NEVER have gotten sick. Food it always fresh, delicious, and beautifully made. I have come here for years and will continue to come here as long as their doors are open.

Hibachi Express is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants. Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had, and their staff is incredibly friendly. The food is always ready quickly, and I usually only order takeout, but when I do dine-in, it’s always very clean in there. Their order online feature is really convenient and easy to navigate, as well. Highly recommended!
