You know how hibachi restaurants all taste similar and have the same dishes well every once in awhile you find one that is a step above or just does a really really good or better job at hibachi whether it be the cuts and grade of meats they use or fresher vegetables it’s just better than what you get unfortunately sometimes at other restaurants well this is one of the good ones, best I have had in Roanoke so far, just plain perfect Japanese Hibachi.

They gave us the wrong food and then rudely blamed us! I called and told them I was coming back for SOME of the missing items since we would eat some of the stuff they gave us in error (minus the disgusting dry chicken). I drive all the way back and they try to give me the full order & charge the full price even though we already paid for the unwanted food. I would’ve gladly paid the difference or paid for the items I still needed an hour later. I never spoke to an adult, just the kids that work the register. They should use a number/name system. EDITED TO ADD: Not misinformation..you are extremely rude!! They were with me when I ordered. NOW you say they placed another order?! YOU ARE 100% at fault because you have ZERO organization skills for pick up orders. How about taking a name or giving an order number? I didn’t want the full order when I returned, but you were too busy hiding behind a child instead of speaking to me. ETA: He tried to charge me another 60 after we already paid 45. Nobody ever mentioned 25 dollars. ETA: I firmly stand by my review. On every negative review, the owner blames & argues w the customer. Read for yourself & beware.

This was far and above the freshest and tastiest hibacibthat I have ever had. The servers were friendly and caring, and the hibachi was fresh the vegetables very fresh and delicious. The sushi was also very good! Highly recommend. The restaurant itself could be spiffed up (bring back the booths!). But for good food – definitely go here.

I have been coming here ever since I was a little kid back when this place was located in the Valley View Mall. I’m in my 20s now and have just revisited the area and it’s as good as I remember it being. Best Japanese food I’ve ever had, and it’s not even close. So happy to see that this restaurant is still as good as it was 20 years ago.

They are SO friendly here and the food is great! The sweet lady at the counter always remembers my husband and I because we pretty much always order the same thing every time. They are super fast and we are never disappointed with any of the hibachi we get. The sushi and appetizers are pretty good too.

Food is delicious and reasonably priced but gave service one star because one of their teenage counter helpers blew his nose and didn’t wash his hands! He went right back to serving customers and handling food containers! So disgusting! Almost asked for a refund! Not sure i will be going back as this is a serious health and sanitary issue!
