A no frills downtown bar with a lot of beers on tap. Atmosphere is the real deal. We came in by boat and walked to the establishment. I would go back again and so should you.

It’s one of the best joints I have ever been to and Lea is the best ever..
We gave it a visit and fell in love …the little woman is T.R.O.U.B.L.E.when she gets lit …and they took it like a champ …and gave it back in a gentle way …I appreciate the love and I hope it gets a huge share from this rating!!

They don’t really have much food that I could tell. Baked Pretzels are good. Drinks were good! So I gave them 5 stars. I’ve been to Hertford Tap House a few times, for their trivia contests and their mac -n-cheese competition. Had a good time and good service both times!

on a whim I asked my phone of any place fun to go to in the area outside of Elizabeth City and it came up with the Hertford Bay Tap House. I had a fantastic time there, great crowd, mainly locals. The bartender, Lovely Anna was very gracious and welcoming to me. I had my camera with me and took many pictures that came out. Excellentf band called the remedy (great musicians and music, 80s/90s rock) and their famous snowball fight. I guess this was the second annual one. BTW no animals were injured during the melee. Again great place, fun to go to, and nice, mostly sane people. I highly recommend it particularly for people that are not into rap and looking at their phone all day.

Loved the employees, very friendly atmosphere, were there for karaoke night, had a surprise birthday party for my mom, everyone was so helpful, and I loved that everyone was included in the very fun night, felt like a big group of friends getting together.

Went on a karaoke night, there weren’t alot of people in there but I was there early and more people were coming in later. Drinks were good, and everyone was nice. Dedicated singers for sure lol wish they had food, but u can bring food in, ran out got something and brought it back. Bartender was nice and attentive.

New to the establishment. Went to the bar to order a beer and was waited on rather swiftly by a bright smile. My bottle beer was nice and cold and also very pricey. Service was great… would have been nice if the option to order some sort of finger food (cheese sticks, fried pickles, f.f.) was available…the atmosphere was pleasant, There was a nice mixture of the locals. The band though was hard to listen to due to the fact the bass player was thumping so hard over the other musician’s made it difficult to stay and enjoy it all. Not having a food menu leaves me to think that this is a place for the younger crowd to gather and hang out to wash away the work week who doesn’t pay mind to the future with no thought of spending $4.50 for a Miller Lite beer. I’m glad I came out to check it out, however nothing about the short time I spent here would draw me back for another visit.

We love the Taphouse! The outdoor area and grotto are awesome! There are booths and tables pool, airhockey and skeet ball. They have karoake night and live bands. But the best part of the Taphouse are the bartenders and the regulars! It’s definitely a neighborhood Cheers type pf place where everybody knows your name. Come dance, sing and drink with some cool people! They dont serve food but on weekends theyre getting food trucks!!!”

Wanted to try this place as they had no cover and live music, let’s start with the 1 beer and 1 drink for $18, not sure how that broke down but the mixed drink was on the special board (about 10-12 oz) the beer came off the tap (sam adams). Next the band was way too loud for that small of an area. We drank up and left. Don’t think we will return.

A small place where you can relax have a drink both alcoholic and non acholic kind. They have live bands karaoke and comedy shows with an occasional axe throwing competition. Corn hull in the back balcony. A cool place if you want to just get out with other adults.
