Hershey’s Subs – ever the reliably delicious and fresh sandwich. Been coming here for as long as I can remember and that’s a couple of decades! When I visit my family in Westfield, I order delivery from their website and it is waiting at the doorstep for me. And as a vegetarian, I especially enjoy the cheese sub with swiss AND provolone!

Roast Beef, Turkey & Provolone was good. RB was nice & rare, Turkey was just average.
Ham, Salami & Provolone was not good and would never order again. The Ham was low quality, less than presliced packaged Oscar Mayers.
Both of these sandwiches photographed very well, but looks are very deceiving here.

Came in today to get a sub. The young man who made it was not wearing gloves, which didn’t bother me until he wiped his nose with his hand and then kept making my sandwich. Gross. Then I find a straw wrapper in the sandwich? It’s disappointing because we used to love getting delivery from Hersheys, but now that we’ve seen how the subs are made I don’t think we will be back.

I’m not sure how this place is still in business to be honest. I know they’ve been around a long time so they must have a following of local regulars. I don’t think I’ll ever be back tho. The food is mediocre, (maybe the worst bread of any local deli) the owner who works the register is gruff and unfriendly, and the interior is filthy looking. There are FAR better sandwich shops in the immediate area.

Hey if you are familiar with Jersey Mikes, this is one of the places in New Jersey it all started. 30 subs to choose from. Better bread than the chain and better meats too and well it’s just better. But then again I’m a homey.

We were in hurry and we told him I’ve never seen anybody make delicious sandwiches like that so quickly. We had 3 different 1/2 subs. Ate in a booth, by the window. The place is very clean.

So don’t get me wrong the food is yummy. But for some reason, every time I come in I am met with really awkward service and judgemental looks. I treat them with respect as I would any person, so I am not sure why the atmosphere is always so tense and unfriendly. I always go in with my girlfriend so I don’t know if it’s a homophobia thing or if we somehow pissed them off. Is anyone else experiencing unfriendly service? We still go in to support but I might consider finding another place with friendly staff!
