This is a nice petting farm. We actually had the opportunity to watch an animal in labor and giving birth. This place is also a bakery. Great for the kids and adults as well. Indoor and outdoor. I believe we also took a carriage ride here for an extra cost.
Beautiful experience for kids and adults alike. Locally manufactured goods and food in the stores with the highlight being the massive petting zoo, of course! You can buy vegetables for the animals (at super fair prices!) to feed, pet & cuddle them. Inside was also a huge canary aviary where the birds sat on your hands to pick some of the greens.Horses, sheep, goats, bulls, alpacas, pigs, chicken, turkeys, … it’s awesome! If that’s not enough: enjoy the beauty of the Amish countryside frequented by their classy horse carriages.
When visiting Amish Country in Ohio, Hersherger’s Farm and Bakery is always a great stop for all ages. It has been fun to watch the changes they have made to the place through the years. In addition to being a farm and bakery, there is a country craft store, a concession stand, and a petting zoo with a small fee for the kids. And, if you walk behind the craft store, you can also check out the farm’s work horses.
The petting zoo was perfect! My kids loved every minute of being there. The grocery store is great. The baked goods were delicious. My favorites were the peacocks and maple candy!
Fun place to visit. We really enjoyed it. They have some food vendors, a gift shop, and a small market store aide from the petting zoo. Reasonable prices and a nice family friendly thing to do.

We enjoyed our time at Hershberger’s. If you have kids or grandchildren the petting zoo and horse ride would be so much fun. We didn’t have our grandchildren with us this time but we’ll be back. The baked goods and kettle corn are amazing. Also the custom made leather goods and wooden toys. Nice place for sure.
Awesome place to spend a day! Lots to see and do.1. Petting area with lots of neat farm animals. Some very unique ones you don’t normally see.2. Gift shop with lots of hand made items.3. Bake shop and fresh produce.Well worth stopping in!Fun for all ages!
One of the biggest attractions of the town. Be prepare to spend good amount of hours because there is a lot to do, see and eat. All age group will enjoy here. Food is good as well. Sweet potato fries is a hit. Their bakery is stuffed with a lot of goodies you cannot resist of getting few for yourself and family. We got to see Mr Hershberger himself sitting out the bakery. Our horse cart man was nice and mentioned about the history of the place. Kids enjoy feeding and petting farm animals. Buggy ride took us to a different world for that moment when the buggy passes through pumpkin patch so calm and peaceful experience. Have your stomach filled before you start to explore there.
There is a ‘day old’ section in the store. Kettle Corn sold outside is very good. Pies are cheaper than Der Dutchman. Nice selection of fresh vegetables. Ample parking. Outside seating if you opt to eat breakfast there.
Great family experience! The people that work there are super nice and aren’t afraid to answer questions. There are some really exciting family experiences there as well. Anywhere from the petting zoo to horse and buggy rides. The petting zoo extends out to more than just the barn as well.
