We visited Heroic Axe in Warrenton, and it completely exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was fun, welcoming, and full of energy.
We ordered the wings and the cheesesteak panini, both cooked to perfection. The wings were some of the best we’ve ever had, crispy, fall-off-the-bone tender, and full of flavor.
The axe-throwing setup was top-notch with eight interactive lanes. We watched Jeff, one of the owners, give an in-depth axe-throwing tutorial. He was great at explaining techniques and keeping everyone engaged. The staff was super friendly and even gave us a tour since it was our first visit.
Heroic Axe is nothing short of excellent. The amazing reviews are well-deserved, Warrenton has a true gem here!

First time there tonight (7/17/25). Love the staff and atmosphere! We threw for an hour between 6 of us…was given ample instruction beforehand. The easy set up, games and scoring make it a lot of fun! They had trivia night going at the same time, so we played (just for our own fun – not officially) – love the way they do their trivia night – putting the questions up on the overhead screens is fantastic. They have a great sound system – but being able to read the questions help if ya can’t hear. The folks who run trivia night were awesome! The food was very good too! We’ll be back!! Thanks for a great time!!

Super friendly staff, one of the employees walked us through how to play the different games & quick tips on form. They let us do quite a few practice rounds before they started our timer to get the hang of it. Overall had a blast, great date night spot if you like getting competitive! Also 10/10 playlist we were rocking the whole time

I didnt have food, but I’ve heard it is good. Drink selection is terrific. Including local brews. Owners and staff are amazing! Friendly! The axe throwing is different that I’ve done before. Very cool and not boring :). Discounts for military/vets and first reaponders. Oh, music is the best!

We booked a mom’s night out at Heroic Axe and had an absolute blast. Jeff was welcoming and accommodating and took the time to help us all successfully throw! he also made sure we were all satisfied with both food and drink. We had so much fun and plan to bring our husbands soon!

We went to visit Heroic Axe to use a gift certificate I won from Dunegan & Cole Orthodontics and I’m so glad I did! The service and atmosphere were great, and the axe throwing was so fun we decided to buy some extra time once we were done with our hour. The owner and the staff member who instructed us on the axe throwing were super friendly and helpful. Great outdoor space in the back to play corn hole and enjoy their food and cocktails as well. The big axe pretzel and Buffalo chicken wrap and Caesar wrap were delicious! We will definitely be back soon!

Hidden gem and off the beaten path, you really shouldn’t pass this place up! Very clean, modern, and amenity filled! We had a fantastic time, especially for it being the first time axe throwing. You won’t regret stopping in!
