We hosted a work related gathering here of about 16 people, on a Wednesday afternoon. It was first-class. From the timing of drinks, appetizers and dinner, to the friendly and attentive staff, this place earned our business.
It doesn’t look like it at first glance, but they have a few areas inside this restaurant that can nicely accommodate small groups, with a semi-private feel. Our group was very comfortable.
They are also tastefully decorated for Christmas, which gives it an even warmer vibe.

I would say this is more of a sports bar than a barbecue restaurant. The menu is very versatile and everyone will probably find something they can eat.
The restaurant v does need some improvements such as better lighting.
They do offer a few options for specials every day.

Heroes Barbecue is a longtime Waterford staple that never disappoints. The food is always delicious, and their large portobello mushroom top burger is a fantastic vegetarian option. There’s always amazing barbecue on the menu, plus a great selection of beer and drinks. The service is consistently excellent — the staff goes above and beyond, especially for their older guests, making everyone feel welcome. With games always on to watch and a warm, friendly atmosphere, it’s a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal.

I called in a order for take out and I can say I’m pleased with my order of Beef ribs. My meal came with 2 sides which I got coleslaw and broccoli. I then added one of their beef sausages which you probably can’t see is up under the ribs. Customer service was very nice friendly and patient. I wanted extra saucey ribs so they put extra barbecue in the bag. Overall, I recommend trying this place out. Barbecue sauces 10 out of 10, flavors were 10 out of 10. Customer service was a 10/10. My only problem was there was a lot of fat on these ribs and I was not expecting that and the coleslaw didn’t have any flavor, I didn’t like it. I’d say all together. 8/10 honestly

I found this place on Google Maps on the way through town, and I’m glad we stopped! It was such a good dinner, nice atmosphere, with good customer service too! I ordered the smoked platter, fried pickles, and the bf got the meatloaf dinner. Everything was delicious and flavorful!

I’m from out west, Idaho, and this is some of the best bbq I have ever had! The ribs were finger lick in’ great’. And the staff were the friendliest in town, thanks Nellie 🙂

Soups were so full of flour, they had the texture of rice pudding. My nachos were very difficult to scrape off the platter because they were so overcooked, and the cheese was mostly burnt. Amount of black olives on top covered up all other flavors. Steak was ordered cooked medium, but was mostly dark pink to purple inside.

Absolutely awesome and very clearly a local favorite as everyone who walked in was greeted with hellos and smiles. Food was absolutely fantastic. Heros will definitely become a staple as a regular restaurant of ours. Thank you for a fantastic meal!

Entrance is in the rear of the building. Excellent food. The garlic loaf of bread they bring to the table is delicious. I had corn chowder that was to die for. The portions are not generous. My ribs/chicken combo dinner only had 4 small ribs, with a thigh/drumstick. But it was all delicious and food prices have gone up so much since covid, I get it. I thought their BBQ sauce to be perfect. Perect blend of flavors and not too strong or spicy as some are. Really just perfectly tasty. Nice ambiance and great service. Friendly people throughout. All the staff said hello, not just our waitress.
