I can confirm what the other people have been saying in the reviews lately. I have tried to get ahold of hero house to order for 4 days (when they are supposed to be open). No one answers the phone at all and there is no sign of anyone even being there. I am assuming they are permanently closed at this point.

I love turkey subs however sometimes the turkey can be disappointing- rest assured the turkey at the Hero House was not disappointing at all. Subs are huge. Ingredients are fresh. If you’re a plant lover- the aloe in the window are a must see!

This place was the best place to eat but recently the service has been garbage can’t call in and order it goes to voicemail and say there booked for the day. When they just opened when you go in and order they act like they hate there job and don’t wanna be there. Sad this use to one of my favorite place to eat…very disappointed…

We wanted to eat here today and wanted it to go. Google shows they are open today until 5. We tried to call before hand and got a voicemail recording that they were done taking orders, so thinking maybe they just were busy and not able to answer the phone, we headed to the business. As soon as I stepped inside, the lady at the counter says rudely that they arent taking to go orders after 2. We just turned around and left, as did another couple that walked in ahead of us. We realized when we got in the car it was only 130!! Just confused why if they close at 5, they stop taking orders 3 hours ahead of time!! Its been a bit of time since we ate here last and this reminded me why we stopped!!

Not super impressed with this being my first time here. The older lady taking our order had a very unwelcoming attitude. Complaining about how we showed up at 1:45 when they close at 2pm (Google maps displays the closing time at 4pm ♂️). Then through out our wait we can here them talking about the fact that they had people showing up before 2pm and told a group walking in at 1:50pm “No we are not taking orders, it is 2pm). Just overall not a good first impression, especially when im being told its the “Best sandwich shop in wooster”

Well I love the subs but 9 out of 10 times I get turned away, that they need 20 min before they take my order at lunch time or that they don’t take orders at 5pm before dinner anymore… Not sure what the problem is…

I was born and raised in Wooster, and Hero House used to be a hometown favorite. Unfortunately, the service has completely gone downhill, and the owner’s behavior is downright rude. You can’t treat customers with such disrespect and expect the community to keep showing up. It’s sad to see what this place has become, but at this point, it’s just not worth supporting anymore.

We love this place, its the same as when it was first opened. The owners & staff are super friendly. The food is amazing. We always get the Philly cheesesteak, tuna and meatball sandwiches and fair fries & onion rings.

You can’t go wrong with any sandwich they make. I’m not a vegetarian, but their vegetarian sub is amazing! I actually have my parents bring me a sub from here when they pick me up from the airport.
