This place is great! Excellent breakfast and lunch dishes open daily from 7am-2pm. The change from breakfast to lunch occurs at 11am. I ordered avacado toast with scrambled eggs, hash browns, and gyro meat. Everything was fantastic and tables are equipped with syrup, ketchup, Cholula, and Tabasco. Hash browns were a bit on the soft side but still very good.
Service was decently attentive and staff are friendly. There is indoor and outdoor seating with windows to see the beautiful countryside. Dishes were a bit on the expensive side but the quality is certainly high. Would recommend!

Great place! I’ll for sure come back. Good overall comfortable vibe with friendly people working here. Pretty good breakfast bagel sandwich, I’ll have to try a few more things on my next visit. They have some grab-and-go stuff pre-made if that’s your thing; easy to get in and out and on with your day!

This was probably the best breakfast/brunch place we have ever been to and we are big foodies! It was so good we came 2 days in a row. The first day we came for brunch and 1/2 of us had the mimosas and 1/2 the bloody Mary’s, both were great! The food is what brought us back though! The guys the first day had the chicken fried steak and eggs and us girls had the Florentine omelet and the Florentine eggs Benedict. The 2nd day we came for an early breakfast before heading out and ordered the biscuits and gravy and the breakfast tacos. The breakfast tacos were so good and can feed a really big eater or you could even share. All the portions were huge which is great because my husband is a really big eater. The service was great and if I am ever back in Durango I will make it a point to come back!

Excellent! Nothing fancy or pretentious, just delicious food with pretty good views of the red cliffs of Animas Valley. The service was great! Nice staff and it was amazing how fast we got our orders. The menu has a lot of breakfast and lunch options and their coffee and tea were fresh brewed and delicious. Wheelchair accessible everywhere, tons of parking, easy to find from the main highway (550) and there’s even a gas station next door for one stop shopping. Solid choice for a quick bite that won’t disappoint or break the bank

We stopped here for breakfast while staying at the [somewhat] nearby Purgatory Lodge. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food, and the coffee was good, too. I highly recommend the cheesy green chili grits and breakfast tacos.

Well, you don’t go to the Hermosa Creek Grill for the atmosphere, you go for the great American breakfast. Fluffy pancakes, excellent pancakes, and the best sausage patty I’ve had in a long time. It was so moist and delicious. I would definitely eat here again.

This little cafe is off the beaten path and doesn’t look like much from the outside, but don’t let that keep you from eating here! The food is delicious!
There are several parking spaces, they have outside seating and dogs are allowed! The mountain views all around are gorgeous so I recommend sitting outside if weather permits. The atmosphere is homey and laidback.
Everything is homemade country kitchen style. Due to this you should expect a little bit of a wait to get your plates, but nothing too crazy long. All the food is feel-good comfort food so come hungry!
All of the waitresses were friendly and cheery. Ours had great recommendations. She even asked if we wanted to order anything for our dog lol. We ordered her a plain pancake and it was brought out on its own plate with a bowl of water.
House coffee was good and HerMosa mimosas was strong and tasty. My pancakes and sausage were yummy and just what I needed to fuel up on before going hiking. I had initially ordered a side of hash browns, but they never came to our table. We were not charged for them and I ended up having enough food to eat anyways. My husband’s burrito was savory and huge! We probably could have split a burrito and the sides.
We got a cinnamon roll to-go and ate it later. It tasted like it was made with sourdough and was just okay – definitely not our favorite.
Overall, we would eat here again!

Great place to get a breakfast burrito on the way up the hill to go skiing. They often have some grab n go burritos, and will cook one up real fast if they don’t. Nice folks, always friendly and accommodating.

Autumn was our server at Hermosa Creek Grill and she was wonderful. Seems like she really loves her job and made it so enjoyable to eat there. The food was delicious (best breakfast we had while in Durango) and we enjoyed eating on the outside pet friendly patio. It is super clean and has a beautiful view of the mountains. We will definitely go back when we visit the Durango area again.
